This Time (Beanie Sigel Album)
''This Time'' is the sixth studio album by rapper Beanie Sigel, it was released in the US on August 28, 2012. In addition to being Sigel's last album before he reported to prison on September 12, 2012, to serve a two-year prison sentence for tax evasion, it was the first album released under the newly relaunched Ruffhouse Records following its own thirteen-year hiatus. Dwight Equan Grant (born March 6, 1974), better known by his stage name Beanie Sigel, is an American rapper from South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He first became known for his association with Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella Records, releasing his debut studio album ''The Truth'' through Roc-A-Fella in February 2000 to critical and commercial success. Sigel's second studio album, '' The Reason'', saw similar commercial success, but received mixed reviews from critics. His third album, '' The B. Coming'', was critically acclaimed and peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200. After a short break from music, Sigel returned to Roc-A-Fella in 2007 and released his fourth studio album '' The Solution'' in December 2007 to positive reviews. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name the Game or simply Game, is an American rapper. Born in Compton, California, he initially released a series of mixtapes under the wing of fellow West Coast rapper JT the Bigga Figga. Deric Michael Angelettie (born July 31, 1968), otherwise known as D-Dot, Papa Dot, and Madd Rapper, is an American artist, music producer, songwriter, TV & film producer and entrepreneur. State Property (group)
State Property is a rap group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US, led by rapper Beanie Sigel with Philadelphia rappers Freeway, Peedi Crakk, Oschino Vasquez, and Omillio Sparks, and the duo Young Gunz (Young Chris and Neef Buck). State Property was signed to Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records, but their future as a group is in dispute. Background The group's first release was the State Property soundtrack, which served as both the soundtrack to the 2002 film and the group's debut album. After group head Beanie Sigel's incarceration in 2004, his relationship with the State Property camp or club went sour. Beanie complained that the rest of State Property was not showing him support while he was in jail, saying no one except Oschino from his group came to visit him. When the Roc-A-Fella split occurred, he also made the decision to move State Property to Dame's Dame Dash Music Group, but the rest of them opted to stay on Roc-A-Fella instead. Christopher Francis Ries (born March 9, 1983), known professionally as Young Chris, is an American rapper. He is a member of Philadelphia rap duo Young Gunz alongside his childhood friend, rapper Neef Buck, signed to Roc-A-Fella Records.
