''This Is Goodbye'' is the second studio album by Swedish metalcore band Imminence. The album was released on 31 March 2017 through Arising Empire and was self-produced by the band. Critical reception The album received mostly positive reviews, but also mixed reviews from several critics. ''Depth'' praised the album saying, "Imminence have created something really powerful with ''This Is Goodbye''. The album is a collection of songs with heart powerfully bared, moving between stadium-strong rock sound and dance beats. Imminence (band)
Imminence is a Swedish metalcore band formed in Trelleborg, Sweden, in 2009. The group consists of vocalist Eddie Berg, lead guitarist Harald Barrett, rhythm guitarist Alex Arnoldsson, bassist Christian Höijer and drummer Peter Hanström. They are currently signed to Arising Empire and have released four studio albums. Their most recent studio album, ''Heaven in Hiding'', was released on 26 November 2021. History The band was started in 2009 by Harald Barrett, with singer Eddie Berg joining shortly after. They decided on the name Imminence in 2010. Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. Arising Empire is a German record label, founded in 2015, which focuses on punk, rock and metalcore music. History Arising Empire was founded in 2015 by Markus Staiger and former "People Like You Records" manager Tobbe Falarz. It is, besides the subsidiary company SharpTone Records, which was founded shortly after Arising Empire, a sub-label of Nuclear Blast. The distribution was taken on by Warner Music at the time. The first bands, signed by the label were Amor, Imminence, Novelists and GWLT.
