''This Is America, Charlie Brown'' is an eight-part animated television miniseries that depicts a series of events in American history featuring characters from the Charles M. Schulz comic strip ''Peanuts''. It aired from 1988 to 1989 on CBS. The first four episodes aired as a weekly series in October and November 1988; the final four episodes aired monthly from February to May 1989. Due to the nature of the events portrayed and the historical figures included — such as the Wright Brothers and George Washington — the opposite of most Charlie Brown cartoons, many adults were shown in full view along with the Peanuts gang, something that happened rarely in the animated films and specials and in only one early sequence in the comic strip. Louis Allen Rawls (December 1, 1933 – January 6, 2006) was an American record producer, singer, composer and actor. Rawls released more than 60 albums, sold more than 40 million records, and had numerous charting singles, most notably his song "You'll Never Find Another Love like Mine". "Linus and Lucy" is a popular instrumental jazz standard written by American jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi, appearing in many ''Peanuts'' animated specials. Named for the two fictional siblings Linus and Lucy van Pelt, it was originally released on Guaraldi's album ''Jazz Impressions of A Boy Named Charlie Brown''. However, it gained its greatest exposure as part of the ''A Charlie Brown Christmas'' soundtrack the following year. ''It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown'' is the 36th prime-time animated television special based on the comic strip ''Peanuts'' by Charles M. Schulz. It originally aired on CBS on November 27, 1992. The program is composed of various storylines from the comic strip. It was the first Christmas-themed ''Peanuts'' special since the inaugural ''A Charlie Brown Christmas'' in 1965, though an episode of ''The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show'' featured a new Christmas vignette in 1985. ''It's Only a Game'' was a sports-and-game-oriented comics panel by Charles M. Schulz, creator of ''Peanuts''. Stephen D. Becker, ''Comic Art In America''. New York : Simon and Schuster, 1959, (p.159, 366) This panel feature ran for 14 months, from November 3, 1957, to January 11, 1959. ''It's Only a Game'' was distributed by United Feature Syndicate. Schulz and cartoonist Jim Sasseville (who also assisted Schulz on ''Peanuts'' stories for various comic books) produced this strip which appeared in newspapers four times a week, including Sundays.
