''Thirteen Day Getaway'' is the second and final studio album by the punk rock band CIV. It was released on April 7, 1998, on Atlantic Records. The album is dedicated to Raybeez. Critical reception ''The Plain Dealer'' wrote that "Civ's clean, moderately paced, somewhat melodic pop punk, topped by Anthony Civorelli's monotonous, nasal vocals, makes the group sound like hundreds of other post-Green Day pop punk bands." Brian Sperber
Brian Sperber is a rock producer/sound engineer/ mixer. He has spent the bulk of his career at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. After years as an audio engineer for artists as varied as Whitney Houston, Patti Smith, De La Soul, and Ozzy Osbourne, he moved to the post-production side of the recording process. Sperber has mixed for rock bands 3 Doors Down, Guided by Voices, and Dinosaur Jr. In recent years he has focused more on production for bands like Carpark North Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock band. Raybeez
Warzone (formerly known as Rat Poison) was an American hardcore punk band formed on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1983. The band helped develop the New York hardcore sound, the hardcore skinhead style and the youth crew subgenre. During the band's 14 years and many line-up changes, their primarily hardcore sound was flavored by influences ranging from Oi! (they toured several times with The Business and played a cover of their song "The Real Enemy") to traditional punk rock to heavy metal (on their self-titled LP). Their fan base was diverse, with their concerts usually attended by skinheads, straight edge teens, metalheads, and punks of all ages. Vice has written that "one could argue that arzonespearheaded the second and larger wave of hardcore bands that erupted in the NY scene in 1986-1987". CIV (band)
CIV was an American punk rock band from New York City. The band is named after its vocalist, Anthony Civarelli. Three of the band's members (Civarelli, Siegler and Smilios) were members of Gorilla Biscuits. Siegler also played in other hardcore bands, including Youth of Today and Judge (band), Judge. After the break-up of Gorilla Biscuits, Civarelli opened a tattoo studio on Long Island. After the band Quicksand (band), Quicksand had signed to a major label, Schreifels re-united a late version of his former band, wrote a record and produced it, resulting in ''Set Your Goals (album), Set Your Goals''. Smilios was replaced by Cache Tolman prior to the recording of their second full-length album, ''Thirteen Day Getaway''. Shortly after releasing ''Thirteen Day Getaway'', CIV disbanded in 2000. ''Set Your Goals'' is the debut studio album by the punk rock band CIV. It was released in October 1995 on Lava Records. The album is best known for the hit single "Can't Wait One Minute More." Although listed as co-producer in the inlay, Walter Schreifels has indicated that he was the main songwriter for the album (despite not being a member of the band). "Can't Wait One Minute More" and "Choices Made" were released as music videos. "Can't Wait One Minute More" features vocals from Lou Koller of Sick Of It All. The San Francisco Bay-area pop punk/hardcore act Set Your Goals named themselves after this album.
