Third Matinee (or 3rd Matinee) was an American rock band formed by vocalist and bassist Richard Page (musician), Richard Page with keyboardist Patrick Leonard. The group formed after the breakup of Page's band, Mr. Mister, and the demise of Leonard's band, Toy Matinee. Third Matinee released one album, ''Meanwhile'' (1994), a progressive-pop rock album, through Warner Bros. Records, Warner Bros Records. Discography References

Richard Page (musician)
Richard James Page (born May 16, 1953) is an American musician who is best known as the lead singer and bassist of 1980s band Mr. Mister. The band's hits include "Broken Wings (Mr. Mister song), Broken Wings" and "Kyrie (song), Kyrie". Page has also sung in other bands, been a solo artist, written songs for other artists, and worked as a background singer for other artists. Early life Page graduated from Central High School (Phoenix, Arizona), Central High School in Phoenix, Arizona. His mother worked as the Assistant Director of the Phoenix Boys Choir, while his father was a musical director at a Phoenix church. During high school, Page performed in school musicals such as ''Oliver!'' Page cited that his musical influences at this stage included The Beatles and The Beach Boys. Patrick Leonard
Patrick Ray Leonard (born March 14, 1956) is an American songwriter, keyboardist, film composer, and music producer, best known for his longtime collaboration with Madonna. His work with Madonna includes her albums '' True Blue'' (1986), ''Who's That Girl'' (1987), '' Like a Prayer'' (1989), '' I'm Breathless'' (1990) and '' Ray of Light'' (1998). He scored Madonna's 2008 documentary ''I Am Because We Are,'' played keyboards with her at Live Aid (1985), and was musical director and keyboardist on The Virgin Tour (1985) and the Who's That Girl World Tour (1987). Toy Matinee
Toy Matinee was a short-lived United States, American rock band, which released one eponymous album. Their sound featured an array of influences, including progressive rock, Album-oriented rock, AOR and Pop music, pop reminiscent of both the Beatles and the Beach Boys. Around the end of 1988, Patrick Leonard approached bassist Guy Pratt about forming a band and helping him audition and recruit members, as the two had become friends through working on Madonna's ''True Blue (Madonna album), True Blue'' album, and other material previously. Pratt agreed and from then through the beginning of 1989, they recruited singer/lyricist/multi-instrumentalist Kevin Gilbert (musician), Kevin Gilbert, drummer Brian MacLeod (U.S. musician), Brian MacLeod, and guitarist Tim Pierce to complete the ensemble. Nick Laird-Clowes (born 5 February 1957, in London, England) is an English musician and composer, best known as the lead singer and one of the principal songwriters for the Dream Academy.
