Thinkin' Problem
''Thinkin' Problem'' is the second studio album by American country music artist David Ball. It was released in 1994 (see 1994 in country music) on Warner Bros. Records Nashville. Although he had recorded an eponymous album for RCA Nashville in 1988 prior to the release of ''Thinkin' Problem'', the RCA album was not released until later in 1994. ''Thinkin' Problem'' was certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of one million copies in the United States. It produced five singles for him on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts between 1994 and 1995. The first of these to chart was the title track, which reached number 2 on the country charts and number 40 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Following it were "When the Thought of You Catches Up with Me" (number 7 on the country charts), "Look What Followed Me Home" (number 11), "What Do You Want with His Love" (number 48), and finally, "Honky Tonk Healin'" at number 50. David Ball (country Singer)
David Ball (born July 9, 1953) is an American country music singer-songwriter and musician. Active since 1988, he has recorded a total of seven studio albums on several labels, including his platinum album, platinum certified debut ''Thinkin' Problem''. Fourteen of Ball's singles have entered the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs charts. His highest-peaking chart entries are 1994's "Thinkin' Problem (song), Thinkin' Problem" and 2001's "Riding With Private Malone", both of which peaked at No. 2. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. Radio airplay, which, unlike sales figures and streaming, is readily available on a real-time basis, is also tracked on a Friday to Thursday cycle effective with the chart dated July 17, 2021 (previously Monday to Sunday and before July 2015, Wednesday to Tuesday). ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Harry Stinson is an American multi-instrumentalist, noted as a session drummer and vocalist in the Nashville music community. He is also a songwriter and producer. Biography Stinson grew up in Nashville, where he grew to love country music. He was in a high school band with Morris West, son of country star Dottie West. In 1970, Stinson first worked professionally in Dottie West's band the Heartaches, touring with Red Sovine and Don Gibson, and appearing on the Grand Ole Opry. In 1974, Stinson substituted for Willie Leacox for the band America's tour. Suzanne "Suzi" Ragsdale is an American singer and songwriter. Besides her solo recordings, Ragsdale is known for her collaborations with Verlon Thompson and Darrell Scott. Biography Early years Ragsdale grew up in Nashville, the daughter of country/pop singer Ray Stevens (whose legal last name is Ragsdale). At age 10, she was singing on children's albums, and at age 11, she was singing on publishing demos for songwriters. She sang as part of the chorus on her father Ray Stevens’ song "Everything Is Beautiful." Steven Jay Nathan is an American keyboardist. He is known for his session work in Muscle Shoals and Nashville studios. Biography Nathan was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. In 1977, Nathan moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama. After touring with LeBlanc and Carr, he participated in the recording of Lenny LeBlanc’s first solo record. For the next 14 years, Steve played on records produced by Rick Hall at FAME Studios, often teaming with Roger Hawkins on drums and David Hood on bass.
