''Things Falling Apart'' is the second remix album by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, released by Nothing Records and Interscope Records on November 21, 2000. It is the companion remix disc to the band's third studio album, '' The Fragile''. The U.S. promotional CD single for " Into the Void" is also labeled as "Halo 16". "10 Miles High" is the only song that was a B-side to a Nine Inch Nails single to be included on the album, though the version on this release differs from the album/B-side version. It was only released on the vinyl version of ''The Fragile'', while appearing as a B-side to the band's 1999 single " We're in This Together". Nine Inch Nails, commonly abbreviated as NIN and stylized as NIИ, is an American industrial rock band formed in Cleveland in 1988. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Trent Reznor was the only permanent member of the band until his frequent collaborator, Atticus Ross, joined in 2016. "Metal" is a song by Gary Numan from his 1979 album '' The Pleasure Principle''. Lyrically, the song is heavily inspired by science fiction such as the works of Philip K. Dick and William S. Burroughs, and tells the story of an android who wishes to be human but never can be. The song was the B-side of "Cars" in the U.S. The song was released with an accompanying music video. The song recycles lyrics from two outtakes of the songs "The Crazies" and "We Have a Technical" from the recording sessions for Numan's album ''Replicas'', which had been released earlier in 1979. "Metal" has been a regular feature of Numan's live shows since his first tour in 1979, and appears on the majority of his live albums. Telefon Tel Aviv is a New Orleans–derived, Chicago-based American electronic music act, formerly comprising Charles Cooper and Joshua Eustis. Charles Alexander Clouser (born June 28, 1963) is an American keyboardist, composer, record producer, and remixer. Alan Moulder (born 11 June 1959) is an English record producer, mixing engineer, and audio engineer. Early life Moulder was born on 11 June 1959 in Boston, Lincolnshire. He was educated at Boston Grammar School. He had an interest in music from an early age, listing Cream and The Beatles among his favourite artists. "Into the Void" is a song by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails from their third studio album, ''The Fragile'', released in 1999. It is the album's third single and saw release early 2000. A music video was directed by Walter Stern and Jeff Richter. Release and reception "Into the Void" was released as a single only in Australia on 10 January 2000. It peaked at #72 on the ARIA singles chart. This Australian release lacks a halo number, making it the only commercial Nine Inch Nails release with that distinction.
