Thin Ice (band)
Thin Ice is an American hardcore band, where they primarily play a hardcore punk style of music. They come from San Antonio, Texas. The band started making music in 2009. The band released an extended play, ''Revelation Through Tribulation'', in 2010, with Blood and Ink Records. After a long hiatus, the album ''Misery Noose'' was self-released in late 2018. The band has recently finished recording a second LP with plans to release sometime in 2020. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus.
