Coil's work explored themes related to the occult, sexuality, alchemy, and drugs while influencing genres such as gothic rock, neofolk and dark ambient. AllMusic called the group "one of the most beloved, mythologized groups to emerge from the British post-industrial scene." After the release of their 1984 debut EP '' How to Destroy Angels'', Coil joined Some Bizzare Records, through which they released two full-length albums, ''Scatology'' (1984) and ''Horse Rotorvator'' (1986). In 1985, the group began working on a series of soundtracks, among them the rejected score for the first ''Hellraiser'' film. After depart ...

Queen Elizabeth (band)
Queen Elizabeth are a British band. It is a collaborative experimental project between Thighpaulsandra and Julian Cope. The general concept behind Queen Elizabeth was a "sonic ritual" in which sounds, melodies and other sonic properties would combine. Both releases, 1994's ''Queen Elizabeth'' and 1997's double-disc ''Queen Elizabeth 2: Elizabeth Vagina'', consist mostly of half-hour-long tracks which contrast experimental ambient music with short bursts of Krautrock. The three discs (and seven tracks) are the band's only studio output, yet "Beneath the Frozen Lake of Stars", which appeared on Thighpaulsandra's ''I, Thighpaulsandra ''I, Thighpaulsandra'' is the debut album by Thighpaulsandra. ''I'' showcased Thighpaulsandra's interests in krautrock, experimental and industrial music and featured his only single to date, " Michel Publicity Window". Glitch Music
Glitch is a genre of electronic music that emerged in the 1990s. It is distinguished by the deliberate use of glitch-based audio media and other sonic artifacts. The glitching sounds featured in glitch tracks usually come from audio recording device or digital electronics malfunctions, such as CD skipping, electric hum, digital or analog distortion, circuit bending, bit-rate reduction, hardware noise, software bugs, computer crashes, vinyl record hiss or scratches, and system errors. Sometimes devices that were already broken are used, and sometimes devices are broken expressly for this purpose. In ''Computer Music Journal'', composer and writer Kim Cascone classified glitch as a subgenre of electronica and used the term ''post-digital'' to describe the glitch aesthetic."The glitch genre arrived on the back of the electronica movement, an umbrella term for alternative, largely dance-based electronic music (including house, techno, electro, drum'n'bass, and ambient) that has ...

They were originally associated with the punk rock scene, appearing on ''The Roxy London WC2'' album, and were later central to the development of post-punk, while their debut album '' Pink Flag'' was influential for hardcore punk. Wire are considered a definitive art punk and post-punk band, due to their richly detailed and atmospheric sound and obscure lyrical themes. They steadily developed from an early noise rock style to a more complex, structured sound involving increased use of guitar effects and synthesizers (1978's ''Chairs Missing'' and 1979's ''154'').
