The Gozo representative football team ( mt, It-tim rappreżentattiv Għawdxi tal-futbol) represents the island of Gozo, Malta, in Association football, football. It is organised by the Gozo Football Association and its home stadium is the Gozo Stadium. It is not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA and therefore is not eligible to enter either the Football World Cup, World Cup or UEFA European Football Championship, European Championship. The Gozo representative football team has however played a number of Non-FIFA international football matches featuring players who are considered as 'Gozitans' for matches of the Gozo Football League, including appearances at Football at the Island Games, Island Games and the now-defunct Viva World Cup. Gozo Football Association
The Gozo Football Association (GFA) is the body that co-ordinates and organises football on the island of Gozo, Malta. Formed in 1936, it organises the Gozo Football League, which is split into two divisions, the First Division and the Second Division. It also organises the G.F.A. Cup, the Independence Cup, the Freedom Day Cup, the BOV Super Cup, the First Division Knock-Out, the Second Division Knock-Out, the Second Division Challenge Cup, the Under-21s League, Under-18 League, and the Under-15s. It also organises the Gozo national football team. The GFA also ran the Gozo FC which from season 2008–09 was playing in the Maltese Second Division after winning the Maltese Third Division Section B; from 16 matches they recorded 15 wins and a draw. Maltese FA Trophy
The FA Trophy, currently known as the IZIBET FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is an annual football cup competition that takes place in Malta. The cup was founded in 1933; following a match between England and Italy, played in Rome in May 1933, to where a number of pro-British Maltese supporters travelled to support the English side. The Football Association as recognition donated a silver trophy to be played on the model of the FA Cup. The team who wins the cup, wins a place in the First qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. This competition is now played on a knock-out basis between all the senior clubs in the Maltese and Gozitan football pyramids. Novara
Novara (, Novarese: ) is the capital city of the province of Novara in the Piedmont region in northwest Italy, to the west of Milan. Island Games Association
The International Island Games Association (IIGA) is the organising body for the Island Games, a friendly biennial multi-sport competition between teams from several European islands and other small territories (24 Members from 7 Nations). The IIGA liaises with the member island associations and with sponsors of the games. It investigates whether islands wanting to join fit the membership criteria. 2019 UEFA Regions' Cup
The 2019 UEFA Regions' Cup was the 11th edition of the UEFA Regions' Cup, a football competition for amateur teams in Europe organized by UEFA. In the final, Lower Silesia from Poland defeated hosts Bavaria to become the second two-time Regions' Cup winners (joining Veneto from Italy), after winning their first title in 2007. The 2017 UEFA Regions' Cup was the 10th edition of the UEFA Regions' Cup, a football competition for amateur teams in Europe organized by UEFA. Zagreb, which lost to Leinster/Munster (Eastern Region) in the previous edition's final, defeated Munster/Connacht (Region 2), also from the Republic of Ireland, in this edition's final to become the first team from Croatia to win the UEFA Regions' Cup. Xewkija
Xewkija ( mt, Ix-Xewkija, it, Casal Xeuchia, pronounced and written as Casal Sceuchia) is an administrative unit of Malta, on the island of Gozo. The population of Xewkija is 3,300 as of March 2014. History Xewkija, which is situated between Għajnsielem and the main town, Victoria, is the oldest village in Gozo. It became the first parish outside Victoria on 27 November 1678. It was separated from the Matrix by Bishop Miguel Jerónimo de Molina and Dun Grezz Farrugia from Valletta, became its first parish priest. Raetia National Football Team
The Raetia football team (german: Fussballauswahl Raetia) represents Raetia in ConIFA association football. The current head coach is Simone Fontana. The team is commonly referred to as '' The Grisons''. History Raetia's first game was played in December 2011 against the Chagos Islands national football team. The second game took place in January 2012 on the island of Gozo against Gozo. The first home game was on 26 May 2012 against the fifth Team of FC St. Pauli in Domat/Ems and Raetia won 6–0. Raetia was qualified to play the 2012 VIVA World Cup in the northern Iraqi region of Kurdistan. Provence National Football Team
The Provence national football team is the football team for the French territory of Provence. The team does not have affiliation with UEFA or FIFA, but are an affiliate member of the NF-Board since December 2008. In 2008 and for the first time since 1921, the Provence team played matches, competing in the 2008 VIVA World Cup where they finished in the last place after losing all of their four games. 2009 Viva World Cup
The 2009 VIVA World Cup was the third VIVA World Cup, an international tournament for football open to non-FIFA-affiliated teams, played in Padania. Three venues were bidding to host the tournament in 2010 : * Padania ( Italy) * Iraqi Kurdistan ( Iraq) * Gozo ( Malta) At the NF-Board general meeting in Milan (Italy), on 13 December 2008, it was decided to hold the Viva World Cup annually. The 2010 edition will be played in Gozo and priority was given to Iraqi Kurdistan to host the 2011 tournament. Occitania originally finished 5th, but having made one more substitution than allowed, the result was overturned, leaving Gozo as the winners of the 5th place playoff. UEFA Regions Cup
The UEFA Regions' Cup is a association football, football competition for Amateur sports#Association football, amateur teams in Europe, run by UEFA. It was held for the first time in 1999 UEFA Regions' Cup, 1999 and has been played biennially since. The 2019 champions are the Lower Silesia Voivodeship, Lower Silesia team from Poland. The competition was created in 1996 as there was no European level competition for amateur teams. The UEFA Amateur Cup, a previous attempt to organise a continental competition for amateurs, had run from 1966 to 1978, but ceased due to lack of interest from both the public and amateur teams themselves.
