Darius Theus
Darius Theus (born January 12, 1990) is an American former basketball player. He played collegiately for VCU. He played professionally in the Netherlands and Germany. Professional career In 2013, Theus signed his first pro contract with Aris Leeuwarden, a team in the Dutch Basketball League. He led the DBL in scoring, steals and field goal percentage in the 2013–14 season. Theus got a place in the All-Defense Team of the DBL as well and was also named DBL Statistical Player of the Year. Aris went into the Playoffs as the 7-seed and lost 2–0 to SPM Shoeters Den Bosch. Coaching career He started as Director of Player Development with the Texas Longhorns on April 20, 2017. He held the position for the 2017–18 season. Jeremiah Theus (sometimes Jeremiah Theüs) (April 5, 1716 – May 17, 1774) was a Swiss-born American painter, primarily of portraits. He was active mainly around Charleston, South Carolina, in which city he remained almost without competition for the bulk of his career. Life Early life and career Jeremiah Theus was born in the city of Chur, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, the eldest child of Simeon and Anna Walser Theüs. Though his parents used the form Theüs, though Jeremiah used the anglicized Theus throughout his life. He was nineteen when he immigrated with his family to the Province of South Carolina, whose General Assembly had provided land grants and transport funds to encourage European Protestants to settle in the colony. Simeon Theüs was given of land along the Edisto River in what was then Orangeburgh Township, today Orangeburg County. John Theus
John Bailey Theus (born January 19, 1994) is a former American football offensive tackle. He played college football at the University of Georgia. High school career A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Theus attended Bolles School where he was coached by Corky Rogers. As a sophomore, he was part of a 12–1 Bolles Bulldogs team led by running back Jawan Jamison that defeated Tampa Catholic for the 2009 FHSAA Class 4A state title. In his junior season, Bolles went undefeated through the regular season, only to lose 35–21 to Ocala Trinity Catholic in the Region 1-2B championship. In Theus' senior season, Bolles went 16–1 and beat Miami Washington for the second Class 4A state title in three years. After the season, Theus played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was also named All-American by ''Parade'' and ''USA Today''. Lucius Theus
Lucius Theus (October 11, 1922 – October 15, 2007) was an American military officer and aviator. A Tuskegee Airman during World War II, he became the third black Major General in the United States Air Force. Early life Theus was born in Madison County, Tennessee. According to the Official DEOMI (Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute) website, General Theus chaired the military task force that resulted in Defense Directive 1322.11 which in 1971 established the military's Race Relations Board and resulted in the founding of the DEOMI then known as the DRRI. Reggie Theus
Reginald Wayne Theus (born October 13, 1957) is an American basketball coach and former player. He played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he was a two-time NBA All-Star. He is currently the head men's basketball head coach and athletic director at Bethune–Cookman. He was the head coach for the NBA's Sacramento Kings and in college with the New Mexico State Aggies and the Cal State Northridge Matadors men's teams. He was also an assistant coach for the Louisville Cardinals under Rick Pitino. Early life Theus was one of four children of Felix and Willie Mae Theus. His parents divorced when he was four.
