It was released in September 1985 as the third single and title track from the album ''There's No Stopping Your Heart''. The song was Osmond's fifth country hit and her second and last number one on the country chart as a solo artist. The single stayed at number one for one week and spent a total of fifteen weeks on the country chart. Olive Marie Osmond (born October 13, 1959) is an American singer, actress, television host, and a member of the show business family the Osmonds. Although she was never part of her family's singing group, she gained success as a country and pop music artist and television variety show cohost in the 1970s and 1980s. "Paper Roses" is a popular song written and composed by Fred Spielman and Janice Torre. It first was a top five hit in 1960 for Anita Bryant. Marie Osmond recorded it in 1973 and took her version to number one on the US country chart. Danny Wayland Seals (February 8, 1948 – March 25, 2009) was an American musician. It was originally released in 1985 and later reissued in 1990. Background Osmond had taken nearly seven years off from recording before releasing ''There's No Stopping Your Heart.'' Osmond's previous albums were released when she was a teenager, however this became her first album to be released as an adult.
