Theological College Of Northern Nigeria (TCNN)
Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN) is a private, Christian college located in Bukuru, Plateau State, Nigeria. History TCNN was constituted on November 26, 1958 and came into being in February 1959 when classes started at Gindiri. TCNN moved to its permanent site at Bukuru and was dedicated in 1961. TCNN started with two programmes, the Diploma of Theology and Certificate in Theology (now Diploma in Christian Ministry). TEKAN was founded by the National Daughter Churches of the Sudan United Mission and the Church of the Brethren Mission. In 1980 the college started a Bachelor of Divinity programme along with the other two programmes. In September 1991 the college began to offer master's degrees in theology. The college is overseen by Tarayar Ekklesiyoyin Kristi a Nigeria" (TEKAN, The Fellowship of the Churches of Christ in Nigeria). Bukuru
Bukuru is a city located on the Jos Plateau in Nigeria. It was previously considered a separate city from the city of Jos close by, but like every other form of urbanization, the city of Jos has merged with the town of Bukuru to form the Jos-Bukuru metropolis. The Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRC-N) is a Christian church that was established in 1951 under the name "Ekklisiyar Kristi a Sudan (EKAS) Lardin "Benue" meaning, "The church of Christ in Sudan, Benue region", and known under its current name since 1976. It belongs to the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria (Tarayyar Ekklisiyar Kristi a Nigeria, TEKAN) and the World Communion of Reformed Churches. Nigeria Reformed Church
The Nigeria Reformed Church was a mission project of the Reformed Congregations in the Netherlands. The work was started in 1970. In 2000 the denomination had 1,911 members. The church operates in the Izi language, Izi tribe, comprising about a half million members in the north of Anambra state. The first mission point was opened on 28 August 1977. Over the years missionary congregations created and instituted. In April 1988 the federation was instituted with 17 ministers and 8 deacons served the church. Since then it has become independent. In 2011 the church had 2,500 members in 14 local congregations, 6 mission district in 4 Classis (ecclesiastical), Classis. The church served 9 pastors and 26 evangelists. Currently there are two missionaries working in Nigeria. The Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dort and the Belgic Confession are the official standards. History The Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ was founded in 1916 by the Sudan Missionary Society- South Africa Branch. The first missionary establishment was in Plateau State, Nigeria. The University of Jos, abbreviated as Unijos, is a Federal University in Jos, Plateau State, central Nigeria. History What became the University of Jos was established in November 1971 from the satellite campus of the University of Ibadan. The first students were admitted in January 1972 as pre-degree students and the first Bachelor of Arts degree program began in October 1973. In October 1975, the then military government under General Murtala Mohammed established the Unijos as a separate institution.
