Theodore D. Day
Theodore D. Day (April 20, 1917 – December 22, 2003) was an American farmer and politician from New York (state), New York. Day was born in New York City. He attended Phillips Academy and graduated from Yale University in 1940. Day ran a dairy farm in Interlaken, New York, Interlaken, Seneca County, New York. He married Frances MacPherson, and they had three children. Day was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Day was a member of the New York State Assembly (Seneca County) from 1961 to 1965, sitting in the 173rd New York State Legislature, 173rd, 174th New York State Legislature, 174th, and 175th New York State Legislatures. Day was a member of the New York State Senate from 1966 to 1972, sitting in the 176th New York State Legislature, 176th, 177th New York State Legislature, 177th, 178th New York State Legislature, 178th, and 179th New York State Legislatures. The 178th New York State Legislature, consisting of the New York State Senate and the New York State Assembly, met from January 8, 1969, to April 20, 1970, during the eleventh and twelfth years of Nelson Rockefeller's governorship, in Albany. Background Under the provisions of the New York Constitution of 1938, and the U.S. Supreme Court decision to follow the One man, one vote rule, re-apportioned in 1966 by order of the New York Court of Appeals, 57 Senators and 150 assemblymen were elected in single-seat districts for two-year terms. Senate and Assembly districts consisted of approximately the same number of inhabitants, the area being apportioned without restrictions regarding county boundaries. Dalwin is a small village in the administrative district of Gmina Tczew, within Tczew County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. The ''Times Union'' is an American daily newspaper, serving the Capital Region of New York. Although the newspaper focuses on Albany and its suburbs, it covers all parts of the four-county area, including the cities of Troy, Schenectady and Saratoga Springs. It is owned by Hearst Communications. The paper was founded in 1856 as the ''Morning Times'', becoming ''Times-Union'' by 1891, and was purchased by William Randolph Hearst in 1924.
