Theodor Sproll
Theodor Karl Sproll (born 27 January 1957 in Constance, Germany) is a German social scientist and economist and rector of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Loerrach since 2013. Biography After his school matriculation in Constance he did his National Service in Tank Regiment 294 in Stetten am kalten Markt and studied Social and Administrative Science at Constance University (1972–1982). From 1981 he was concurrently an employee of the Institute for Social- and Economic Science at the same university. In 1985, as an external employee of the institute, he took earned a doctorate in Economic Science with the theme “Drug Lists and Cost Containment”. From 2003 to 2005 he undertook further studies in various programmes at the Harvard Business School in Boston, where he is an Alumnus (AMP). Konstanz (, , locally: ; also written as Constance in English) is a university city with approximately 83,000 inhabitants located at the western end of Lake Constance in the south of Germany. The city houses the University of Konstanz and was the residence of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Konstanz for more than 1,200 years. Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Loerrach
The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Loerrach (DHBW-Loerrach) was founded in 1981 as ''Berufsakademie Lörrach''. It offers workplace-focused, cooperative degree courses. This means that students alternate between learning the theory at school and applying it on the job in a three-months rhythm. Besides Loerrach, seven other schools of cooperative education and three branch campuses were founded in Baden-Wuerttemberg since the beginning of 1974. The German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg has changed the school’s legal status on March 1, 2009. The union of the merged eight institutions with 11 campuses is now named Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. It is a legal entity of public law and simultaneously a state institution.
