Thenum Paalum
''Thenum Paalum'' () is a 1971 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by P. Madhavan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Padmini and B. Saroja Devi. It was released on 22 July 1971. Plot Somanathan, a leading advocate, has four daughter's and among them Thangam is his favorite and most beloved daughter. One day on his visit to Madras to attend an important case, an unexpected event happens in Thangam's life. On the day of Somanathan's visit to Madras, businessman Ramu visit's Somanathan's place and meet him. The purpose of this visit is to buy a land from Somanathan to build a factory for Ramu's new business. Somanathan introduces Thangam to Ramu and tell his daughter Thangam to guide Ramu to the land site. As per Somanathan's request Ramu stays in Somanathan's guest house next to his bungalow. Shanmugasundari (23 September 1937 – 1 May 2012) was a Tamil actress. she acted in more than 750 films. Her daughter T. K. Kala is also an actress and playback singer. She also appeared in comedy roles along with Vadivelu in many films. Career Shanmugasundari started her stage performances at the age of 5. She survived nearly 45 years in the film industry and did more than 750 films. She was also a dubbing artist. She also acted in comedy roles, especially as a mother of Vadivelu in many films. Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on 3 November 1935. Her parents Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma, a Telugu family, had moved from Chandragiri, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Chennai for their livelihood. Subramaniyan Karuppaiya (born 25 May 1939), known by his stage name Goundamani, is an Indian actor and comedian who works in Tamil cinema. He is known for his comic duo partnership in Tamil films with fellow actor Senthil. The pair dominated the Tamil industry as comedians in the 1980s and 90s.
