Thendral (film)
''Thendral'' () is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Thangar Bachan. The film stars Parthiban and Uma with Rajashree in a pivotal role. The film, produced by Venu Ravichandran, had musical score by Vidyasagar and was released on 6 February 2004. Plot In opening scene,we see a man walking towards a grave in middle of farmland and lighting up lamp and keeping food in banana leaf. He slowly places his head on grave. The film slowly moves back to 1989,Nalangili (Parthiban) is a reputed writer with revolutionary mindset. He even refuses to take the sahitya award and instead asks the president to provide justice to tamilnadu on cauvery issue.Thamarai aka Thamaraichelvi ( Uma) is a huge fan of Nalangili and harbours a secret crush on him. Thangar Bachan
Thangar Bachan (born 1961) is an Indian film director and actor, cinematographer and novelist. He has served as jury member in National Film Awards. Early life Thankar Bachan was born in Pathirakottai, a village near Panruti, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. Career Bachan started his career as a cinematographer in debut film ''Malai Charal''. He was known for his work in '' Mogamul'', '' Bharathi'' and '' Kadhal Kottai''. He made his directorial debut in '' Azhagi''. Apart from films he occasionally contribute on literary works. His novels include ''Onbathu Roobai Nottu'' and ''Ammavin Kai Pesi.'' He eventually made these novel into films in his own direction. Pushpavanam Kuppusamy is a Tamil folk singer, lyricist, writer and music composer of Tamil folk art. He has been credited for reviving the Naatupura Paatu a Tamil folk art. Together with his wife Anitha Kuppusamy, he has conducted several music concerts of Tamil folk songs. Kuppuswamy is also a playback singer. Manikka Vinayagam (10 December 1943 – 26 December 2021) was an Indian playback singer and actor. He sang for South Indian language films and acted in several Tamil films as a character artist. He was the son of the dancer Vazhuvoor B. Ramiah Pillai. His uncle and music guru was the singer C. S. Jayaraman. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices. Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer. He has sung more than 8000 songs in 15 Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Odia, Bengali, Marathi and Hindi.
