Thelma Tixou
Thelma Delia Suklenik Snopik (1944 – 15 January 2019), better known by her stage name Thelma Tixou, was a Mexican vedette and actress of Argentine origin. She was one of the most popular Mexican vedettes during the 1970s and 1980s. Biography Early years Of Lithuanian origin on her mother's side, Tixou studied for six years in the Teatro Labardén, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was a very good jazz dancer. At age 13 she started her career as vedette. Eventually, Tixou is presented in a contest at the Teatro Nacional Cervantes of Buenos Aires, and was chosen among 10 dancers to fill the role of vedette. Career She was star of such Argentine Revues as ''Radiolandia'', ''Antena'' and ''Ellas''. She also had the opportunity to share the stage with the great vedette Tita Merello. Gustavo Rojo
Gustavo Rojo Pinto (5 September 1923 – 22 April 2017) was a Uruguayan-Mexican actor. Life and career Gustavo Rojo was born on 5 September 1923 on a German ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. His mother was the prominent Spanish author Mercedes Pinto, who emigrated to Uruguay for political reasons. His two older siblings, Pituka de Foronda and Ruben Rojo, also became actors. In the late 1920s, Mercedes wrote a play and Gustavo made his theater debut. Gustavo's screen debut came as a child actor in the 1938 Cuban film ''Ahora seremos felices'', in which his older sister Pituka had a starring role. In the 1940s, the family moved to Mexico, where Rojo worked steadily throughout the 1940s. In 1947, he made his Hollywood debut in the film '' Tarzan and the Mermaids'', which starred Johnny Weissmuller and Brenda Joyce. Rojo was engaged to Austrian actress Erika Remberg in 1958. ''Pablo y Andrea'' is a Mexican children's telenovela produced by Lucero Suárez for Televisa in 2005. Pablo y Andrea is an adaptation of the classic ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' by Mark Twain. The adventures are not developed on the coast of the Mississippi River, but in the magical town of Huasca de Ocampo in the Mexican state of Hidalgo. It was the last children's telenovela produced by Televisa, the lack of interest of the public with novels generated lower-rated audience. Scenes were cut from the original broadcast in order to reduce the 100 episodes to 75 because of the low ratings.
