Thebes railway station ( el, Σιδηροδρομικός σταθμός Θήβας, Sidirodromikós stathmós Thiva) is the main railway station of Thebes in Boeotia, Greece. Located 900 m from the center of Thebes, The station is served by Intercity trains between Athens and Thessaloniki. History The station was opened on 8 March 1904. In 1970 OSE became the legal successor to the SEK, taking over responsibilities for most of Greece's rail infrastructure. Boeotia
Boeotia ( ), sometimes Latinized as Boiotia or Beotia ( el, Βοιωτία; modern: ; ancient: ), formerly known as Cadmeis, is one of the regional units of Greece. Hellenic Railways Organization
The Hellenic Railways Organisation or OSE ( el, Οργανισμός Σιδηροδρόμων Ελλάδος, italic=yes or el, Ο.Σ.Ε.) is the Greek national railway company which owns, maintains and operates all railway infrastructure in Greece with the exception of Athens Metro, Athens' rapid transit lines.
