Theatre Row Hollywood

On June 1, 2015, City Councilmembers Mitch O'Farrell (CD13) and Tom LaBonge (CD4) along with actor French Stewart, The Blank Theatre Artistic Director Daniel Henning and several hundred community members unveiled the City of Los Angeles signage that officially created Hollywood Theatre Row as a "Live Theatre District." It is also the core home of the Hollywood Fringe Festival each June, bringing thousands of audience members to Hollywood Theatre Row to see nearly 400 productions each year. El Centro Theatre
El Centro Theatre is a Hollywood theater. It was founded in 1946 and is located at 804 N. El Centro Ave. Hollywood, California 90038. History In 1946, students from UCLA, including William Schallert, Jerry Epstein, Kathleen Freeman, Sid Rushakoff, and Sydney Earle Chaplin, moved on from their first location, a friend's living room, after their successful production of Elmer Rice's ''The Adding Machine''. Their new location was a converted corner grocery store at Waring and El Centro Ave., which they named The Circle. The first play to be produced in the space was ''Ethan Frome'', but they first had to clean and convert the dilapidated space into a workable theater. Sacred Fools Theater Company
The Sacred Fools Theater Company is a Los Angeles-based theatre company and nonprofit organization. Founded in January 1997, it's a member organization of the LA Stage Alliance. For 18 years the company resided at 660 N. Heliotrope in The Heliotrope Theatre. In January 2016 they moved to The Broadwater Studio, a multi-theater complex at 1078 Lillian Way, Los Angeles. Organization Sacred Fools is governed partly by a non-dues paying company and partly by a traditional board of directors. A three-person Artistic Committee is elected each season from by the company, and also a three-person membership committee. The board of directors oversees business matters.
