Traditional Chinese characters are one type of standard Chinese character sets of the contemporary written Chinese. Hanyu Pinyin (), often shortened to just pinyin, is the official romanization system for Standard Mandarin Chinese in China, and to some extent, in Singapore and Malaysia.
