The Winter
''El Invierno'' (English: ''The Winter'') is the dramatic first film of the Argentine director Emiliano Torres, starring Alejandro Sieveking and Cristian Salguero. The worldwide premiere was on September 22, 2016, at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and had its local premiere in Argentina on October 6 of the same year. It was produced by Wanka Cine (Argentina) and Ajimolido Films (Argentina), in co-production with Cité Films (France), Orange Studio (France), RTA (Argentina) and Tronco (Argentina). It had the support of National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts. In Spain, the premiere will be on June 23, 2017, and, in France, on June 28 of the same year. Emiliano Torres
Emiliano Torres (born December 5, 1971, in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine film director, screenplay writer and producer. In 1991 he graduated from the Fundación Universidad del Cine of Buenos Aires and completed his degree in filmmaking, oriented towards directing. His generation was the first to graduate from institution. Since 1996 he has been working as assistant director and screenwriter in many national and international films shot in South America and in Europe. In the last years he has worked with European film directors such as Marco Bechis, Miguel Courtois and Emanuele Crialese, than others. El Invierno (The Winter) is his first feature film as a director. Kosmorama
Kosmorama is the annual international film festival in the city of Trondheim, Norway first held in 2005. Festival name The word “kosmorama” (in English: cosmorama) means an exhibition of perspective pictures of (usually) landmarks of the world. In other words: a display of different perspectives and vistas from around the World. The film festival has been named Kosmorama after one of Trondheim's first big cinemas. Kosmorama Theater was founded in 1910 by Paul Kraüsslich. In addition to running the cinema, Kraüsslich travelled all around the country, filming everything from the fisheries in Lofoten to the World Speed Skating Championship. In 1906, he filmed the coronation of King Haakon VII of Norway in the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, and was able to show his film of that event just three hours later to the public.
