The Winner's Journey (Natalie Gauci Album)
''The Winner's Journey'' is the debut studio album by ''Australian Idol 2007'' winner Natalie Gauci. As opposed to the previous format of releasing the winner's album consisting of recordings of the winner's live performance on the show, the album is composed of full studio-recorded versions of songs performed by Gauci on the show, including her debut single " Here I Am". Natalie Gauci
Natalie Rose Gauci (born 26 November 1981) is an Australian musician, producer and teacher. Gauci undertook music tuition at the Victorian College of the Arts, formed her own band that played gigs in Melbourne, while also working as a music teacher. After an appearance on national radio station Triple J's talent contest, '' Unearthed'', she successfully auditioned for the fifth series of '' Australian Idol'' in 2007 and went on to win the series. Gauci subsequently signed a record deal with Sony BMG Australia and in November that year released her debut single, " Here I Am", which reached number two on the ARIA Singles Chart and gained a gold accreditation. The next month her debut album, '' The Winner's Journey'', followed. It peaked at number eleven on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified platinum. "Crazy" is the debut single by American soul duo Gnarls Barkley, taken from their 2006 debut album '' St. Elsewhere''. It peaked at number two on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and several other countries. The song was leaked in late 2005, months before its regular release: it received airplay on BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom, and radio DJ Zane Lowe also used the song in television commercials for his show. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association.
