The William Blakes
The William Blakes is a Danish pop rock band who released their first record in 2008. The album was called 'Wayne Coyne' in an homage to the lead singer of The Flaming Lips. The band consists of drummer Fridolin Nordsø, guitarist Frederik Nordsø (the two are twins), lead singer, guitarist and song writer Kristian Leth and keyboard player / trumpet player Bo Rande. The band has won two Danish Music Awards for 'Best Album' 2011 and 'Best Rock Group' 2011. They have also won the Danish Crown Prince and Princess' Culture Award 2012 and the Gudman Foundation Award 2012. Bo Rande is also a member of Blue Foundation while Fridolin has produced albums for Moi Caprice, The Fashion and Choir of Young Believers and Frederik has produced albums for Outlandish and Burhan G. Kristian Leth has also written two books of poetry. Both the debut album and the follow-up 'Dear Unknown Friend' from 2009 were recorded each in less than a week in the band's house in Sweden. Moi Caprice
moi Caprice is an indie rock band from Denmark. Current members are Michael Møller, David Brunsgaard, Casper Henning Hansen, Jacob Funch and Fridolin Nordsø. The band, formed as early as 1993 as Concrete Puppet Frog, rose to visibility in 1997 as the first unsigned band to top the Danish alternative music charts in 1997, despite the lack of a released studio album. The band has remained active, releasing four albums beginning in 2003, and by touring internationally, including performances in Canada and Vietnam. Burhan Genç Koç (), known as Burhan G (born 20 January 1983), is a Danish R&B and pop singer, songwriter and producer. Outlandish
Outlandish is a hip-hop music group based in Denmark. Formed in 1997, it consisted of Isam Bachiri (born in Denmark and of Berber background), (born in Denmark and of Pakistani background), and (born in Honduras and of Cuban and Honduran descent). All three members are religious, with Isam and Waqas being Muslims and Lenny being Catholic. The group disbanded in 2017 as each member wanted to pursue personal projects. In 2019 band members Waqas and Lenny brought back the band as a duo while Isam continued to pursue a solo career. Outlandish has since released two singles and are currently working on a new album which is set to be released in April 2020. Choir of Young Believers was the musical project of singer, writer and guitarist Jannis Noya Makrigiannis from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band, which consisted of Makrigiannis along with a rotating cast of supporting players, has had multiple No 1 hits in their home country of Denmark and was named the "Best New Act" at the 2009 Danish Music Awards. The Fashion
The Fashion was an indie rock band hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark. Their musical style has been compared to a mix of The Rapture, Beastie Boys, Head Automatica, and LCD Soundsystem. The Fashion's debut album '' Rock Rock Kiss Kiss Combo'' was released in Denmark in September 2003 and gained extensive airplay across Danish radio, receiving MTV's Fresh Pick of the Week and positive reviews from Rolling Stone's David Fricke. After some lineup changes, the band began work on its self-titled sophomore effort in the summer of 2006 with Fridolin (Outlandish, Moi Caprice). Blue Foundation is a Danish band. Their cinematic dream pop, shoegaze and electronics inspired compositions are known for being featured in films such as ''Twilight'', ''Miami Vice'' and on TV shows including ''CSI: Miami'' and ''The Vampire Diaries''.
