The Wild Girl (1925 Film)
''The Wild Girl'' is a 1925 American silent film, silent drama film directed by Billy Bletcher and starring Louise Lorraine, Art Acord, and Andrew Waldron. Plot As described in a film magazine review, Pattie, a mountain girl accompanied by her canine companion Rex meets an amateur photographer near her home. They exchange opinions, and the man learns that the stranger loves his horse as much as she loves her dog. When a mountaineer attempts to force Pattie to marry him, the dog warns the stranger of the girl’s danger. He dashes to the rescue, and later makes a happy compact with the young woman. Billy Bletcher
William Bletcher (September 24, 1894 – January 5, 1979) was an American actor. He was known for voice roles for various classic animated characters, most notably Pete in Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse short films and the Big Bad Wolf in Disney's ''Three Little Pigs''. Early life William Bletcher was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on on September 24, 1894, to Huber and Dora Bletcher. Career Bletcher appeared on-screen in films and later television from the 1910s to the 1970s, including appearances in several ''Our Gang'' and ''The Three Stooges'' comedies. He was most active as a voice actor. His voice was a deep, strong and booming baritone. Bletcher provided the voices of various characters for Walt Disney Animation Studios ( Black Pete, Short Ghost and the Big Bad Wolf in ''Three Little Pigs''). Louise Lorraine
Louise Lorraine (born Louise Escovar; October 1, 1904 – February 2, 1981) was an American actress. Life and career Louise Lorraine was born Louise Escovar in San Francisco, California. One day, a photography salesman knocked on the door of the Los Angeles home where Lorraine lived with her widowed mother and five siblings. The door was answered by Lorraine. The salesman was so taken aback by her looks and demeanor that he told her mother she should be in films, then silent films and he happened to have a contact with Ince Studio. Initially, Lorraine's mother refused, but eventually she gave in. Lorraine began working in films as an extra and "a bathing girl" before she gained leading roles in comedies for independent studios. After that, she spent time at MGM and Universal. She became very popular in action-filled serials such as ''The Radio King'' and ''With Stanley in Africa'' in 1922. Arthemus Ward "Art" Acord (April 17, 1890 – January 4, 1931) was an American silent film actor and rodeo champion. After his film career ended in 1929, Acord worked in rodeo road shows and as a miner in Mexico. Early life and career Acord was born to parents who were Utah pioneers and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Valentine Louis Acord and Mary Amelia Acord (née Pedersen), in the ranching area called Prattville, just west of the town of Glenwood, Utah. Art's father was of German and English descent. The Acord family descends from a Prussian mercenary soldier of the American Revolutionary War whose name was Eckert. Art's paternal grandmother was a descendant of Frances Latham, an early settler of New England.
