Rod McCormack
Rod McCormack (born 13 February 1963) is an Australian record producer, musician and songwriter. McCormack is responsible for many high selling and award-winning albums and was named Country Music Awards of Australia Producer of the year in 2004, 2008 and again in 2010. He has written over 30 number-one country hits and has produced albums for Gina Jeffreys, Paul Kelly, Troy Cassar-Daley, Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole amongst others. He was part of the band The Wheel between 1995 and 1999. In 2000, McCormack married Australian country singer Gina Jeffreys. In September 2019, McCormack released his first solo studio album, ''Fingerprints''. RooArt
rooArt was an Australian independent record label, founded in 1988 by INXS's then-manager, Chris Murphy. The label's roster included several well-known Australian bands and artists such as Crow, Ratcat, Screaming Jets, You Am I, Wendy Matthews, The Hummingbirds, The Trilobites and Amanda Brown. Other bands which made early or first releases on the rooArt label included Hipslingers, The Last Metro, The Lab, The Fauves, Bellicose and Custard. rooArt released a series of three compilation albums of new or then-unsigned acts, called ''Youngblood''. A number of acts released on the compilations went on to record their own albums, including Tall Tales and True, The Trilobites and Martha’s Vineyard. ARIA Music Awards Of 1996
The 10th Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as the ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAS) was held on 30 September 1996 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Presenters distributed 28 awards with the big winner for the year was You Am I gaining six awards. In addition to previous categories an Outstanding Achievement Award was presented to Silverchair, which acknowledged " heirconquering world charts with the single 'Tomorrow' and the debut album album ''frogstomp''." A Special Achievement Award was presented to Slim Dusty. The ARIA Hall of Fame inducted: Australian Crawl and Horrie Dargie. The 12th Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as the ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAS) was held on 20 October 1998 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.
