"The Way We Were" is a song by American singer Barbra Streisand from her fifteenth studio album of the same name. It was released as the album's lead single on September 27, 1973 through Columbia Records. The 7" single was distributed in two different formats, with the standard edition featuring B-side track "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?"; the Mexico release instead included an instrumental B-side. In music theory, the key of a piece is the group of pitches, or scale, that forms the basis of a musical composition in classical, Western art, and Western pop music. ''I Feel a Song'' is the thirteenth studio album recorded by American R&B group Gladys Knight & the Pips, released in November 1974 on the Buddah label. It was their third overall album for Buddah. The first single release, " I Feel a Song (In My Heart)", reached #1 R&B and #21 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The B-side, "Don't Burn Down the Bridge", also charted as a tag-along on the pop chart. A second single, "Love Finds Its Own Way", also charted, peaking at #47 pop and #3 R&B. Gladys Knight & the Pips were an American R&B, soul and funk family music group from Atlanta, Georgia, that remained active on the music charts and performing circuit for over three decades starting from the early 1950s. Starting out as simply The Pips in 1952, derived from a cousin's nickname, the founding members were Gladys Knight, brother Merald "Bubba" Knight, sister Brenda Knight and cousins Eleanor Guest and William Guest. After a couple of years performing in talent shows, the group signed with Brunswick Records in 1957, recording a couple of singles that failed to chart. This was his first studio album out of 25 released by Columbia that didn't make either the ''Billboard'' 200 or Christmas Albums charts, but it did reach number seven in the UK during a 10-week run that began on June 15 of that year.
