The Water's Edge (novel)
''The Water's Edge'' is the seventh studio album by Australian singer songwriter Rick Price. The album was released on 18 September 2011 through Clarice Records. It was Price's first album of new recordings since ''A Million Miles'' in 2003. Rick Price toured the album throughout Australia in April/March in 2012 and again in July/August 2013. The album featured three singles, including the title track, "Shape of my Heart" and "Im Coming Home" Background Price relocated to Nashville United States in 2009, primarily to tour with his great friend Tommy Emmanuel. Following the completion of this tour, Price began to co-write with other artists in Nashville, which led to a new album. Rick Price
Rick Allan Price (born 6 July 1961) is an Australian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. His debut album, ''Heaven Knows (Rick Price album), Heaven Knows'', was released in July 1992, and peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Chart. It provided two top ten singles, "Not a Day Goes By (Rick Price song), Not a Day Goes By" and the Heaven Knows (Rick Price song), title track. At the APRA Awards (Australia)#Song of the Year, APRA Music Awards of 1992 "Heaven Knows" won Song of the Year for Price and his co-writer, Heather Field. '' Tennessee Sky'' is the eighth studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Rick Price, released 25 April 2015 on Clarice Records, through the PledgeMusic campaign. It peaked at number 97 on the ARIA Charts and number 19 on the Australian Indie chart on 4 May 2015. Album synopsis Describing the album, Price said; “I’ve never done a record like this before, not this kind of music. A lot of it is very gospel based. Some of it is just like Texas swing music. Some of it sounds like an old hymn. It’s drawing on old roots based music.” Price toured Australia in July 2015 and again on the 'Can I Get a Witness' tour in April/May 2016. William Thomas Emmanuel (born 31 May 1955) is an Australian guitarist. Regarded as one of the greatest acoustic guitarists of all time, he is known for his complex fingerstyle technique, energetic performances and use of percussive effects on the instrument. Originally a session player in many bands, Emmanuel carved out his own style as a solo artist, releasing many award-winning albums and singles. In June 2010 Emmanuel was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM), and in 2011 he was inducted into the Australian Roll of Renown. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings.
