''The Volunteers'' is a 1692 comedy play by the English writer Thomas Shadwell.Watson p.735 Shadwell completed the play shortly before his death and it was performed posthumously at the Drury Lane Theatre by the United Company. It is also known by the long title ''The Volunteers; or, The Stock-Jobbers''. The Volunteers (South Korean Band)
The Volunteers (, abbreviated to TVT) is a South Korean rock band originally formed in 2017. Their first EP, ''Vanity&people'', was independently released on September 15, 2018 through YouTube and SoundCloud. Prior their official debut, the group already amassed a fan base, with three million streams on Soundcloud and one million music video views on YouTube. The band consists of three members: Yerin Baek (vocals, guitar), Jonny (leader, guitar), and Chiheon (drums). Music producer and guitarist Cloud, who was a long-time collaborator of Baek on her solo activities left the band after the official termination of their contract and the closing of their agency Blue Vinyl. The band is currently under the agency peoplelikepeople. Sivert Høyem (born 22 January 1976) is a Norwegian musician, best known as the vocalist of the rock band Madrugada. After the band broke up following the death of Robert Burås in 2007, he has enjoyed success as a solo artist and is also a member of The Volunteers with whom he released the album ''Exiles'' in 2006. Early and personal life Høyem is a son of forestry teacher Asbjørn Høyem and politician Jørun Drevland. He hails from Kleiva in Sortland, and attended Sortland Upper Secondary School before moving to Oslo in 1995. Whilst pursuing a music career he minored in history at the University of Oslo. Jonah Rzadzinski Matranga (born Jonah Sonz Matranga, August 11, 1969) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist who has released a variety of solo material under his own name and onelinedrawing, and has previously been part of the bands Far and New End Original (an anagram of "onelinedrawing") and Gratitude. Whiskey Rebellion
The Whiskey Rebellion (also known as the Whiskey Insurrection) was a violent tax protest in the United States beginning in 1791 and ending in 1794 during the presidency of George Washington. The so-called "whiskey tax" was the first tax imposed on a domestic product by the newly formed federal government. Beer was difficult to transport and spoiled more easily than rum and whiskey. Rum distillation in the United States had been disrupted during the American Revolutionary War, and whiskey distribution and consumption increased afterwards (aggregate production had not surpassed rum by 1791).
