''The Voice Within'' is a 1946 British crime drama film directed by Maurice J. Wilson and starring Barbara White, Kieron Moore and Brefni O'Rorke. It was the film debut of Moore who went on to appear in several major roles over the following years. It was shot at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith. Isadore Goldsmith (26 May 1893 - 8 October 1964) was an Austrian film producer. During the 1930s and 1940s he worked in the British film industry after fleeing from Berlin following the Nazi rise to power. He was married to the novelist Vera Caspary. George Merritt (actor)
Frederick George Merritt (10 December 1890 – 27 September 1977) was an English theatre, film and television actor, often in authoritarian roles. He studied German theatre in Magdeburg, Germany, and taught at the Berlitz School at the outbreak of the First World War, when he was held as a British Civil Prisoner of War, and interned at Ruhleben, 1914–1918. He was involved in over 50 plays at Ruhleben. He lived for many years in Lissenden Gardens, Parliament Hill, north west London. Frank Atkinson (actor)
Frank Atkinson (19 March 1893 in Blackpool, Lancashire – 23 February 1963 in Pinner, Middlesex) was an English actor and writer. He appeared in at least 130 films between 1930 and 1963. A stalwart of British films, often in small or uncredited roles, and also in Hollywood in the 1930s, notably in the Raoul Walsh directed ''Me and My Gal'' and ''Sailor's Luck''. Allmovie described him as "tall and slender, and with gaunt facial features that lent themselves to looks of eccentricity, and with a highly cultured speaking voice, he could melt unobtrusively into a scene, as an anonymous bit-player, or could, with the utterance of a few words or a look, transform himself into a wryly comedic presence -- he played everything from jailers, guards, garage attendants, and soldiers to upper class twits." David Hay Petrie (16 July 1895 – 30 July 1948) was a Scottish actor noted for playing eccentric characters, among them Quilp in ''The Old Curiosity Shop'' (1934), the McLaggen in ''The Ghost Goes West'' (1935) and Uncle Pumblechook in '' Great Expectations'' (1946).McFarlane, Brian (28 February 2014). Olive Sloane
Olive Sloane (16 December 1896 – 28 June 1963) was an English actress whose film career spanned over 40 years from the silent era through to her death. Sloane's career trajectory was unusual in that for most of her professional life she was essentially an anonymous bit part actress, and her best, most substantial roles did not come until relatively late in her career when she was in her 50s. Her most famous film appearance is the 1950 production ''Seven Days to Noon''.
