The Voice (U.S. TV Series) Discography
'' The Voice'' is an American television music competition to find singing talent amongst all genres of music, regardless of age, and accepts contestants of minor professional background. Its inaugural season was completed in June 2011 and has been broadcast biannually from 2012. The winners and finalists of the seasons have seen varied levels of success with musical releases. Musical releases before their participation on the show are not included in the list. Singles during ''The Voice'' In a first for a music competition series, NBC and Universal Republic Records (later moved to Republic Records in 2012) offered fans of the show the ability to vote for their favorite artists by purchasing the studio versions of the songs that they perform on the live show each week via the iTunes Store. "I Won't Back Down" is a song by American rock musician Tom Petty. It was released in April 1989 as the lead single from his first solo album, ''Full Moon Fever''. The song was co-written by Petty and Jeff Lynne, also his writing partner for the album.
