The Visitation (Doctor Who)
''The Visitation'' is the fourth serial of the 19th season of the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four twice-weekly parts on BBC1 from 15 to 23 February 1982. The serial is set in and near London in the 17th century. In the serial, a group of fugitive aliens called Terileptils plot to make the Earth their new home by spreading a deadly plague among humanity. Plot The TARDIS lands in 17th-century London. Upon stepping outside, The Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan, and Adric immediately smell sulphur and head off to find the source. Richard Mace, a highwayman and self-proclaimed thespian, encounters the group and takes them to safety inside a barn. While questioning Mace, they find out that some kind of comet recently landed nearby. The Doctor and his friends discover the "comet" was actually a spaceship inhabited by a Terileptil fugitive, who uses mind controlling bracelets to subdue the local villagers. ''Doctor Who Magazine'' (abbreviated as ''DWM'') is a magazine devoted to the long-running British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who''. Launched in 1979 as ''Doctor Who Weekly'', the magazine became a monthly publication the following year. Now with 13 issues a year, as well as currently producing triannual deluxe Special Editions (2002–) and Bookazines (2013–), the publication features behind the scenes articles on the TV show and other media, as well as producing its own world famous comic strip. Its founding editor was Dez Skinn, and the incumbent editor is Marcus Hearn, who took over from the magazine's longest-serving editor, Tom Spilsbury, in July 2017. Anthony Calf
Anthony Calf (born 4 May 1959) is an English actor. He studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He has recurring roles in the television medical drama ''Holby City'', as Michael Beauchamp, and '' New Tricks'' as DAC Robert Strickland. He has also worked in theatre, where his credits include productions of '' The Madness of George III'' with the National Theatre and ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'', ''The false servant'' at the National Theatre and ''Rock'n Roll'' at the Duke of York's Theatre. He was nominated as best actor in the Irish Times Theatre Awards 2008 for his work in '' Uncle Vanya'' at the Gate Theatre. He was featured in '' King Charles III'' on Broadway in 2015.
