Tom Terriss
Thomas Herbert F. Lewin (28 September 1872 – 8 February 1964), known professionally as Tom Terriss, was a British actor, screenwriter, and film director. After trying various occupations, he became an actor playing a variety of roles, beginning in 1890, in plays, pantomime and Edwardian musical comedy. After the First World War, he left the stage and pursued a decade-long film career. He was the brother of the musical comedy star Ellaline Terriss and son of leading man actor William Terriss. Life and career Terriss was born in Barnes, London, son of the actor William Terriss (né Lewin) and his wife Isabel (née Lewis). William Bechtel (actor)
William Bechtel (born 1951) is a professor of philosophy in the Department of Philosophy and the Science Studies Program at the University of California, San Diego. He was a professor of philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis from 1994 until 200 Bechtel was also the chair of the Philosophy Department from 1999 until 2002 and was heavily involved with thPhilosophy-Psychology-Neuroscienceprogram, serving at different times as Assistant Director and Director. Vitagraph Studios, also known as the Vitagraph Company of America, was a United States motion picture studio. It was founded by J. Stuart Blackton and Albert E. Smith in 1897 in Brooklyn, New York, as the American Vitagraph Company. By 1907, it was the most prolific American film production company, producing many famous silent films. Eugene Strong (August 9, 1893 – June 25, 1962) was an American film actor and vaudevillian. Career Eugene Strong oscillated between stage and film work throughout his acting career. He played the lead role in the stage production of '' The Virginian'' for two years. He was working in vaudeville in 1915. Strong's first film was '' The Crimson Stain Mystery'' (1916); he received positive notice for his role as a man seduced by a vampire. Strong returned to vaudeville in the 1920s. Strong worked with Valeska Surrat and supported Surrat in a lawsuit brought against her by Walter Percival in 1920. He was part of the vaudeville act Mann and Strong, with singer Hazel Mann.
