''The Ultimate Collection'' is a double compilation album by Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band YU Grupa. The album was released in 2009 by Croatia Records, a successor company for Jugoton, which was YU Grupa's record label during the 1972 – 1977 period, and the album features songs from the albums and 7" singles YU Grupa released through Jugoton during this period. He is best known as the singer and guitarist for the Serbian rock band YU Grupa, which he formed in 1970 with his older brother Žika. Raša Đelmaš
Ratislav "Raša" Ðelmaš ( sr-cyr, Ратислав-Раша Ђелмаш; 26 January 1950 – 28 October 2021) was a Serbian rock musician, best known as a member of the bands YU Grupa and Zebra. Musical career Đelmaš started his career as the drummer in the band Anđeli, continuing it in bands Hendriksova Deca, Mobi Dik and Felix. In 1972, he became a member of Pop Mašina, later that year he moved to Siluete, and finally to YU Grupa. With YU Grupa he recorded the albums ''YU Grupa'' (1973), '' Kako to da svaki dan?'' (1974) and ''YU Grupa'' (1975), before leaving it and forming Zebra in 1976. With Zebra he released the album ''Kažu da takav je red'' (1979), on which he played drums and keyboards and sang. Marina Tucaković
Marina Tucaković ( sr-Cyrl, Марина Туцаковић; 4 November 1953 – 19 September 2021) was a Serbian lyricist and songwriter. Born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, Tucaković had a degree from the Economic Faculty at the University of Belgrade. She first started writing songs at the age of 19. After the success of "Dodirni mi kolena" by the Yugoslav rock group Zana and vocalist Zana Nimani, Tucaković continued working with numerous artists in then Yugoslavia. Zoran Modli (Serbian Cyrillic: Зоран Модли, 22 April 1948 – 23 February 2020) was a Serbian journalist, radio disc jockey, and aviator. He was one of the most popular Yugoslav radio personalities, running one of the most notable radio shows of the early 1980s in Yugoslavia, ''Ventilator 202''. Biography Modli was born in Zemun, PR Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia. He wrote the lyrics for the A-side of the second single by the rock band YU grupa, released in 1972. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
