She gained prominence during the disco era of the 1970s and became known as the " Queen of Disco", while her music gained a global following. Influenced by the counterculture of the 1960s, Summer became the lead singer of a psychedelic rock band named Crow and moved to New York City. In 1968, she joined a German adaptation of the musical ''Hair'' in Munich, where she spent several years living, acting, and singing. There, she met music producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, and they went on to record influential disco hits together such as " Love to Love You Baby" and "I Feel Love", marking Summer's breakthrough into international music markets. Summer returned to the United States in 1976, and more hits such as " Last Dance", her version of "MacArthur Park", " Heaven Knows", " Hot Stuff", " Bad Girls", "Dim All the Lights", "No More Tears (E ...

The ''Foxes'' soundtrack also includes an instrumental version of the song in a ballad tempo and crediting Moroder as a solo artist. Love's About To Change My Heart
"Love's About to Change My Heart" is the third single from ''Another Place and Time'', the 1989 album by Donna Summer. The song was released on August 14, 1989 by Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. Records. It was written and produced by British production team Stock Aitken & Waterman. Released as the second single in the US, the song was a hit on the dance charts, but failed to repeat the Top 40 success it enjoyed in Europe. In contemporary interviews, Summer described the track as one of her favourite cuts; tying only with " Breakaway" as the best from the LP. The late singer's husband, Bruce Sudano, said that both he and Summer were very enthusiastic about the track because of its quality, her powerful vocal performance, and the song's deference to her strongest work with Giorgio Moroder, saying, "It's a full showcase on every level". Critical reception ''Pop Rescue'' stated that "Love's About to Change My Heart" "opens sounding a bit like a Whitney Houston 80s song, before abs ...

I Don't Wanna Get Hurt
"I Don't Wanna Get Hurt" is the second single from the album ''Another Place and Time'' by Donna Summer. The song was released on May 15, 1989, by Warner Bros. Records (Europe). The whole album was written and produced by British team Stock Aitken & Waterman (SAW) and was mainly in the style of their "hit factory" sound. This song was remixed for its release as a single, and in the UK became the Top 10 follow-up to its predecessor, the hit "This Time I Know It's for Real." SAW gained most of their success in Europe and much of their material was never aimed at the U.S. market, so this single was never released there. Critical reception ''Pop Rescue'' gave a positive review, stating that "I Don't Wanna Get Hurt" "opens with chugging bass and roaring pop guitars before Donna Summer's crisp vocals arrive. Her voice is flawless and wonderfully suited to this song. It bounces along perfectly, and is incredibly pop and catchy". The ''Record Mirror'' said, "Brilliant intro. So good I wa ...

Jones was a much sought-after producer at the time, particularly due to his association with Michael Jackson's album ''Off the Wall''.
