Carlo Borghesio
Carlo Borghesio (24 June 1905 – 12 November 1983) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Turin, Borghesio started his career as an assistant director in the second half of the 1930s, notably collaborating with Alessandro Blasetti and Mario Mattoli. After collaborating to a number of screenplays, he made his directorial debut in 1939, co-directing with Mario Soldati the comedy film ''Due milioni per un sorriso''. Borghesio is best known for his association with Erminio Macario, he directed in a number of critically acclaimed comedies between the 1940s and the early 1950s. Loris Gizzi
Loris Gizzi (16 August 1899 – 6 October 1986) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Life and career Born in Rome, after his university studies Gizzi attended a school of dance and singing. He abandoned the courses when he became an employee of Ferrovie dello Stato, reaching the rank of sub-station master. In the 1930s, he discovered his vocation as an actor, attending several dramatic societies. In 1935, during an outdoor show on the Palatine Hill in honor of royal guests, he was chosen to play Remus in the drama play ''Rumon''; from then he entered the most important stage companies of the time, notably appearing in the 1938 representation of ''Francesca da Rimini'' by Gabriele D'Annunzio, staged by Renato Simoni and with Andreina Pagnani in the title role. Ugo Sasso, born Domenico Pasquale Giuseppe Sasso (23 March 1910 - 21 July 1981), was an Italian film and television actor. Pietro Carloni (28 October 1896 – 3 August 1968) was an Italian stage and film actor. Life and career Born in Taurisano, Lecce into a family of actors, Carloni debuted on stage at young age in the theatrical company held by Ernesto Murolo. In 1921 he met on stage Titina De Filippo, whom he married one year later and with whom he started a long professional association, appearing in almost all her stage works. Carloni was also active in films and in television miniseries, mainly cast in character roles. His siblings Ester, Maria, Adelina and Ettore were fellow actors.
