The Tuesday Club
The Tuesday Club was the name of social gatherings held by players of English association football club Arsenal F.C., Arsenal in the 1990s. It was viewed as a club bonding experience by the players and manager, George Graham (footballer, born 1944), George Graham. History The Tuesday Club involved regular heavy drinking sessions by Arsenal players in the 1990s. These sessions were led by Arsenal captain Tony Adams and usually involved other Arsenal players such as Lee Dixon, Perry Groves and Paul Merson. It became known as the Tuesday Club as the events occurred on Tuesday nights as Arsenal had a day off from training on Wednesdays. Hillsborough Disaster
The Hillsborough disaster was a fatal human crush during a football match at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, on 15 April 1989. It occurred during an FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in the two standing-only central pens in the Leppings Lane stand allocated to Liverpool supporters. Shortly before kick-off, in an attempt to ease overcrowding outside the entrance turnstiles, the police match commander, David Duckenfield, ordered exit gate C to be opened, leading to an influx of supporters entering the pens. This resulted in overcrowding of those pens and the crush. With 97 deaths and 766 injuries, it has the highest death toll in British sporting history. Ninety-four people died on the day; another person died in hospital days later, and another victim died in 1993. Midfield General
Damian Harris, also known by his stage name Midfield General, is the original founder of the Skint Records label. Midfield General is the recording alias of Skint label boss Damian Harris. A prime architect of the sound of big beat, Harris grew up listening first to punk rock, later hip hop, and acid house. He then moved to Brighton to study art, eventually taking work as a DJ while promoting clubs around the city. Ian Stone
Ian Stone is a British stand-up comedian, broadcaster and writer notable for appearing as a guest on shows such as the comedy panel show ''Mock the Week''. Stone was also a regular guest on BBC Radio 5's ''Fighting Talk''. His book about following The Jam and growing up in London in the late 1970s was published by Unbound in June 2020. Alan Roger Davies (; born 6 March 1966) is an English stand-up comedian, writer, actor and TV presenter.
