The Truth Seekers
''The Truth Seekers'' (Chinese: 真探) is a Singaporean drama produced and telecast on Mediacorp Channel 8. The show aired at 9pm on weekdays and had a repeat telecast at 8am the following day. The series stars Chen Hanwei, Rebecca Lim, Desmond Tan and Yusuke Fukuchi who play a team of cold-case investigators who go over unsolved mysteries to uncover the truth. It consists of 23 episodes, and began its run from 28 April 2016. Plot Veteran police officer, Bai Qingxiong, forms an agency called Cold Case Investigators (CCI) which aims to crack unsolved cases. Through this agency, he hopes to give a proper closure to family members of the victims. He is a righteous man who is confident that all criminal will not escape the law. The CCI uses unorthodox methods to search for clues which eventually led them to the truth. Rebecca Lim
Rebecca Lim (; born 26 September 1986) is a Singaporean actress who won Best Actress in a leading role at the Asian Television Awards and two Best Actress in a Leading Role awards, a Best Supporting Actress award and 10 consecutive Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste in the local Star Awards ceremony from 2012 to 2022. Lim also won Best Performance in a Leading Role at the Seoul International Drama Awards. Lina Ng
Lina Ng Su Fang (; born 6 May 1974) is a Singaporean actress and host. She was a full-time Mediacorp and SPH MediaWorks artiste from 1993 to 2004 but currently continues to film on an ad-hoc basis. One of the most acclaimed actresses in Singapore, Ng is the first and only actress to win an Asian Academy Creative Award and aAsian Television Awardin Singapore. In 2021, Ng received the Asian Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as a ''majie'' in the English-language series '' Last Madame''.She also runs Mustard Seeds Academy, which provides Chinese enrichment classes to childcare centres. Star Awards 2017 (also SA2017, Chinese: 红星大奖2017) is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by Mediacorp for free-to-air channels Channels 8 and U. The Road to Star Awards 2017 was broadcast live on 26 March, and 2 and 9 April 2017. The theme for this year's Star Award is "影响 (Influence)". The nominations for the awards were first revealed 23 January 2017, followed by the Top 10 Most Favourite Artistes on a press conference on 3 March 2017 at Marina Square. Star Awards For Best Screenplay
The Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit in the media organisation Mediacorp of Singapore where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. The star was subsequently removed and the trophy is designed as a S shaped column, depicting the star. History The 1st Star Awards presentation was held on 26 February 1994, took place at the Caldecott Broadcast Centre, MediaCorp TV Theatre with an audience of about 500 people. There have no other pre-show and post-awards ceremony held in that year. Aloysius Pang (; 24 August 1990 – 24 January 2019) was a Singaporeans, Singaporean actor managed under NoonTalk Media, best known for his involvement in multiple Mediacorp dramas. He died on 24 January 2019 at 1:45am New Zealand Daylight Time, NZDT (23 January 2019 at 8:45pm Singapore Standard Time, SST) due to serious crush injuries sustained from a military accident while on Operationally Ready National Service reservist training in the Singapore Army, aged 28. Li Wenhai (actor)
Li Wenhai (, born ) is a veteran Singaporean actor. He has acted in various Singaporean television dramas. Career In 1981, Li joined Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). In August 1991, after filming ''Jealousy Potion 100'', Li applied to have an early termination to his acting contract with SBC and to transfer to the voice dubbing department. After eight months, in April 1992, he resigned from SBC. After leaving SBC, Li opened a shop with friends selling Buddhist equipment at Balestier Shopping Center. The shop was eventually closed down in 1988 after the shop lease had finished and business was poor. Li was then invited by the producer and writer of ''Riding the Storm'' to act in the drama. He left Media Corporation of Singapore (rebranding of SBC) in 2003 due to migraine. In 2004, Li joined SPH MediaWorks.
