The Crystal Method is an American electronic music act formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, by Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland in the early 1990s. They were pioneers of the big beat genre and their music has appeared in numerous TV shows, films, video games, and advertisements. Their 1997 debut studio album ''Vegas'' was certified platinum in 2007, and saw follow-ups ''Tweekend'', '' Legion of Boom'', ''Divided by Night'', and ''The Crystal Method''. In 2017, Ken Jordan retired from music and left the group, with Scott Kirkland adopting The Crystal Method as a solo moniker. ''The Crystal Method'' is the fifth studio album by American electronic duo the Crystal Method. The album was released on January 14, 2014, although it was set to be released in 2013, but delayed due to Scott Kirkland's brain surgery in early 2013. The whole album was set as a free stream on Hype Machine on January 4, 2014. The cover, sleeve and digital booklet was designed by Bob Kadrie with band photography by Chapman Baehler. It is also Ken Jordan's final album with the group before retiring in 2017. Critical reception ''The Crystal Method'' garnered a mixture of both positive and mixed ratings from music critics. At ''Alternative Press'', Annie Zaleski rated it three-and-a-half stars, commenting that the album "Nods elsewhere to New Order's lurching bass, Daft Punk's robotic funk and crushing synthrock are just the cherry on top." Le Castle Vania is an electronic dance music project created by Atlanta-based DJ Dylan Eiland. Background Eiland began DJing at warehouse parties and raves in Atlanta at age 16. He adopted the name "Le Castle Vania" with the release of his remix for Snowden's song "Black Eyes" in 2006. From 2007 to 2012, Le Castle Vania hosted the "Fuck Yesss" indie electronica dance parties at venues such as The Drunken Unicorn and Masquerade in Atlanta. Eiland uses a simple setup, including a laptop computer, a mixer, and two turntables. He writes his songs on his laptop, often while traveling on airplanes, and prefers to play a larger number of his original work compared to his remixes. Data Romance is a Vancouver based electro-indie duo started by Ajay Bhattacharyya, instrumentalist-producer, and Amy Kirkpatrick, singer/lyricist. Justin Gunnar Walter Chancellor (born 19 November 1970) is an English musician best known as the bass player for progressive metal band Tool since 1995. He was also the bassist of the band Peach. After settling in the US, along with his engagement in his musical projects, he and his wife Shelee Dykman Chancellor ran a store called Lobal Orning in Topanga, California, dedicated to music and literature "that shaped and changed" both of them.
