''The Tonight Show'' is an Irish news analysis, current affairs and politics programme broadcast on Virgin Media One (formerly known as "TV3") since September 2017. The series is hosted by Claire Brock. Ivan Yates and Matt Cooper original hosted the show. Ivan Yates left the show on July 23, 2020, while on the August 10, 2021, Matt Cooper announced that he would also be leaving the show. Matt Cooper (Irish Journalist)
Matt Cooper (born 21 July 1966) is an Irish journalist, author, television presenter and radio presenter of ''The Last Word (radio show), The Last Word'' on Today FM. He is also a former editor of the ''Sunday Tribune''. Early life Cooper was born in Cork in 1966 and was educated at the The North Monastery, North Monastery school and later at University College Cork. As well as radio, sport was another early passion. Cooper played rugby with Sunday's Well and later captained the under-20s team. He also had a fondness for GAA, and played Gaelic football and hurling for the Bishopstown GAA club. He supports Leeds United F.C., Leeds United. He is a former editor of the ''Sunday Tribune'', appointed in September 1996, as well as a former business editor of the ''Irish Independent''. Ivan Yates
Ivan Yates (born 23 October 1959) is an Irish broadcaster, businessman and former politician. He was elected as a Fine Gael Teachta Dála (TD) for the Wexford constituency at the 1981 general election and at each election until his retirement from politics in 2002. He also served as Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry from 1994 to 1997. Early life Yates was born in Enniscorthy, County Wexford. He was educated at Aravon School, Bray; St. Columba's Church of Ireland College in Rathfarnham, Dublin; and Gurteen Agricultural College, County Tipperary. Political career When he was first elected in 1981, Yates was the youngest member of the 22nd Dáil and is also the fifth-youngest ever member of Dáil Éireann at the age of 21. Ballymount
Ballymount (), is a locality on the south side of Dublin, near the mainly residential areas of Walkinstown to the east, Tallaght to the west and Greenhills to the south. Ballymount is accessed by a number of public bus routes from Dublin city centre, and via the Red Cow Stop on the Red Luas Line, and it houses one of the largest industrial zones in Ireland. Virgin Media One, also called Virgin One, is an Irish free-to-air television channel owned by Virgin Media Ireland (part of Liberty Global), operated through its subsidiary Virgin Media Television.
