The Thrill Of It All (Thunder Album)
''The Thrill of It All'' is the fourth studio album by English hard rock band Thunder. Recorded between April and May 1996 at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales, it was produced the band's lead guitarist Luke Morley and mixed by Rupert Coulson at London's Trident 2. The album was initially released in Japan by Victor Entertainment on 1 September 1996, with the European release by Castle Communications (under the band's B Lucky sub-label) following on 2 February 1997. Unlike they did on ''Laughing on Judgement Day'' and '' Behind Closed Doors'', Thunder vocalist Danny Bowes and second guitarist Ben Matthews did not contribute to songwriting on ''The Thrill of It All'' – all songs were written primarily by main songwriter Morley, with drummer Gary "Harry" James co-writing four tracks. Thunder (band)
Thunder are an English hard rock band from London. Formed in 1989, the group was founded by former Terraplane (band), Terraplane members Danny Bowes (lead vocals), Luke Morley (guitar, backing vocals) and Gary James, Gary "Harry" James (drums), along with second guitarist and keyboardist Ben Matthews (musician), Ben Matthews and bassist Mark 'Snake' Luckhurst, Mark "Snake" Luckhurst. Originally signed to EMI Records in the UK, the band released their debut album ''Backstreet Symphony'' in 1990, which reached number 21 on the UK Albums Chart and number 114 on the US Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. Gary James
Gary Harry James, popularly known as 'Harry' James (born 14 December 1960 in Beckenham, Kent, England) is an English drummer best known for his work with hard rock band Thunder (band), Thunder and melodic rock band Magnum (band), Magnum. James began playing drums at age eight, following in the footsteps of his father. He played his first gig in his early teens. Popular with rock fans as much for his cheerful persona as for his powerhouse drumming, he was previously a member of 1980s group Terraplane (band), Terraplane, along with future Thunder members Luke Morley and Danny Bowes. Tendinitis
Tendinopathy, a type of tendon disorder that results in pain, swelling, and impaired function. The pain is typically worse with movement. It most commonly occurs around the shoulder (rotator cuff tendinitis, biceps tendinitis), elbow (tennis elbow, golfer's elbow), wrist, hip, knee (jumper's knee, popliteus tendinopathy), or ankle (Achilles tendinitis). Dinosaur Jr. is an American rock band formed in Amherst, Massachusetts, in 1984, originally simply called Dinosaur until legal issues forced a change in name. The band was founded by J Mascis (guitar, vocals, primary songwriter), Lou Barlow (bass, vocals), and Murph (drums). After three albums on independent labels, the band earned a reputation as one of the formative influences on American alternative rock. Creative tension led to Mascis firing Barlow, who later formed Sebadoh and Folk Implosion. His replacement, Mike Johnson, came aboard for three major-label albums. Silverchair
Silverchair were an Australian rock band, which formed in 1992 as Innocent Criminals in Newcastle, New South Wales, with Ben Gillies on drums, Daniel Johns on vocals and guitars, and Chris Joannou on bass guitar. The group got their big break in mid-1994 when they won a national demo competition conducted by SBS TV show ''Nomad'' and ABC radio station Triple J. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. Reef (band)
Reef is an English rock band from Glastonbury, England. The band members include Gary Stringer on vocals, Jesse Wood on guitar (replacing original guitarist Kenwyn House in 2014) and Jack Bessant on bass. Career In 1993, Bessant and Stringer were looking for band members while House met Dominic Greensmith (from Barnstaple, Devon), and discussed forming a band. The foursome got together, producing the extremely rare "Purple Tape" demo. After recording several tracks, the band spent much of 1994 touring and building up a fan base.
