Roland Gräf (13 October 1934 – 11 May 2017) was a German cinematographer, film director and screenwriter. In 1982 his film "Märkische Forschungen" won the Findling Award at the National Feature Film Festival of the GDR in Karl-Marx-Stadt ( Nationales Spielfilmfestival der DDR). His 1986 film '' The House on the River'' was entered into the 36th Berlin International Film Festival. Three years later, his film '' Fallada: The Last Chapter'' was entered into the 39th Berlin International Film Festival. Jaecki Schwarz (born 26 February 1946) is a German actor. With around 120 film and television roles throughout his career, he worked prolifically with DEFA, the East German state-owned film studio, as well as Deutscher Fernsehfunk (DFF), the state television broadcaster in the East Germany, GDR. Since the reunification of Germany, he has been known for his roles in the long-running detective television series ''Polizeiruf 110'' as well as the crime series ''Ein starkes Team''. Life Schwarz was born in the Köpenick district of Berlin. He owes his name to his grandmother, who was a fan of the silent film child star Jackie Coogan. Since the American spelling "Jackie" was not permitted at the registry office, his name was entered as "Jaecki". Peter Sodann (born 1 June 1936 in Meissen, Saxony) is a German actor, director and politician. He was the Left Party's nominee for the 2009 presidential election, but was not considered a serious candidate by the German media. Early life Sodann was born on 1 June 1936 in Meissen to a working-class family. After training to be a toolmaker, he moved to Leipzig in order to study law. In 1959 he transferred to the Theaterhochschule Leipzig, where he led a cabaret group. The group's performance was deemed subversive by the East German authorities and closed in 1961. Christoph Hein (; born 8 April 1944) is a German author and translator. He grew up in the village Bad Düben near Leipzig. Being a clergyman's son and thus not allowed to attend the Erweiterte Oberschule in the GDR, he received secondary education at a gymnasium in the western part of Berlin. After his ''Abitur'' he jobbed inter alia as assembler, bookseller and assistant director. From 1967 to 1971 Hein studied philosophy in Leipzig and Berlin. Upon graduation he became dramatic adviser at the Volksbühne in Berlin, where he worked as a resident writer from 1974. Since 1979 Hein has worked as a freelance writer. Hein first became known for his 1982 novella ''Der fremde Freund'' (''The Distant Lover''). From 1998 to 2000 Hein was the first president of the pan-German PEN-Centre.
