''Sword Stained with Royal Blood'' is a wuxia novel by Jin Yong (Louis Cha). It was first serialised in the Hong Kong newspaper ''Hong Kong Commercial Daily'' between 1 January 1956 and 31 December 1956.The date conforms to the data published in Chen Zhenhui (陳鎮輝), ''Wuxia Xiaoshuo Xiaoyao Tan'' (武俠小說逍遙談), 2000, Huizhi Publishing Company (匯智出版有限公司), p. 56. Since its first publication, the novel has undergone two revisions, with the latest edition being the third. Some characters from the novel play minor roles or are simply mentioned by name in ''The Deer and the Cauldron'', another of Jin Yong's novels. Plot The novel is set in China towards the end of the Ming dynasty. Lung Fong
Jimmy Lung Fong (龍方) was a Hong Kong actor, film director, and action choreographer. Lung was best known to moviegoers for his frequent portrayal of villains in various Hong Kong films, most notably in films made by Wong Jing. Lung retired from the film industry, and died from lung cancer in 2008. Career Lung Fong was born Li Chien-Min. He started his career by playing small roles in porno's and martial arts films during the 1970s. In 1981, he left his acting career, after starring in a series of unsuccessful films. In 1989, director Wong Jing needed someone to play a villain in ''Casino Raiders''. While Wong had dinner at restaurant while Lung was the manager, he asked Lung for an audition. Playing the role turned out to be Lung's biggest career breakthrough, and he was nominated for a "Best New Performer" award at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Peter Chan
Peter Ho-sun Chan (born 28 November 1962) is a film director and producer. Early life Chan was born in British Hong Kong to parents China. He and his family moved to Thailand when he was 12, where he grew up amongst the international Chinese community in Bangkok. He speaks Thai as fluently as a Thai person. He later studied in the United States where he attended film school at UCLA, with a minor in accountancy. He returned to Hong Kong in 1983 for a summer internship in the film industry. Chan never returned to UCLA to complete his studies. Career He served as second assistant director, translator, and producer on John Woo's ''Heroes Shed No Tears'' (1986), which was set in Thailand.
