The Sweet Life Of Count Bobby
''The Sweet Life of Count Bobby'' (German: ''Das süsse Leben des Grafen Bobby'') is a 1962 Austrian musical comedy film directed by Géza von Cziffra and starring Peter Alexander, Ingeborg Schöner and Gunther Philipp. It was the second in a trilogy of films featuring Alexander in the character of Count Bobby. It was followed by ''Count Bobby, The Terror of The Wild West'' in 1966. It was partly shot at the Sievering Studios in Vienna. The film's sets were designed by the art director Fritz Jüptner-Jonstorff. Plot Count Bobby and his friend are running a struggling detective agency. However they get a break when they investigate a gang of smugglers using a nightclub as a front. In order to infiltrate the organisation Bobby is required to go undercover dresses as a woman. Géza Von Cziffra
Géza von Cziffra (; 19 December 1900 – 28 April 1989) was a Hungarian and Austrian film director and screenwriter. Life Cziffra was a Banat German in origin, born in 1900 in Arad in the Banat region, at that date in the Kingdom of Hungary, now in Romania. Cziffra made films from the 1930s onwards, at first in Hungary, and from 1936 in Germany as well, where he was initially more active as a screenwriter. In 1945, in Prague, then occupied by the Germans, he made the film ''Leuchtende Schatten'' ("Glowing Shadows"). As adviser for the criminal police, he was assigned SS- Sturmbannführer Eweler, a member of the SD and brother of the actress Ruth Eweler. After some time, Cziffra banned Eweler from the studios for excessive and obstructive criticism. Shortly afterwards, he was arrested and taken to the Prague Gestapo Headquarters in the Pecec Palace, where he was accused of having eaten several times in the Czech restaurant "Neumann" without using ration stamps. Karl Ehmann (13 August 1882 – 1 November 1967) was an Austrian stage and film actor whose career spanned both the silent and sound eras of the film industry. Career Born on 13 August 1882 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, he became interested in acting as a young man, studying in a private master class with the famous Austrian stage actor, Karl Arnau. He made his stage debut at the age of 20 in the municipal theater of Olomouc, Moravia (now part of the Czech Republic).
