Elwy Yost
Elwy McMurran Yost, (July 10, 1925 – July 21, 2011) was a Canadian television host, best known for hosting CBC Television's weekday '' Passport to Adventure'' series from 1965 to 1967, TVOntario's weekday ''Magic Shadows'', from 1974 until the mid-1980s, and '' Saturday Night at the Movies'' from 1974 to 1999. Early life Born in Weston, Ontario, he was the son of pickle manufacturer Elwy Honderich Yost and Annie Josephine McMurran. In his youth, the senior Yost would give his son a dime a week to go see a movie on condition that he'd then recount the plot. Yost graduated from the Weston Collegiate and Vocational School in 1943. He began studies at the University of Toronto in 1943, and studied engineering but left in 1944, after failing his exams, and joined the Canadian Infantry in 1944. Corinne Alexandra Conley (born May 23, 1929) is an American actress who spent the majority of her career in Canada, notable for having won the Canadian Council of Authors and Artists' Best Actress Award. Royce Frith
Royce Herbert Frith, (November 12, 1923 – March 17, 2005) was a Canadian diplomat, public servant and politician. He received a BA from the University of Toronto, an LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Dipl. d’études supérieures (droit) from the University of Ottawa. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1949. An amateur actor and performer, Frith found time to act in plays, perform on the radio, and sing and play several instruments. Frith first came to prominence as a member of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism in the 1960s. He served as a legal advisor to the Commissioner of Official Languages from 1971 until 1977 when he was appointed to the Senate of Canada by Pierre Trudeau. Paul Kligman (21 January 1923 – 29 August 1985) was a Canadian actor. Biography Born in Romania, he emigrated to Canada where he spent his youth in Winnipeg and studied at the University of Manitoba. He moved to Toronto in 1950 and established his career there. In addition to appearing in CBC Television's 1952 '' Sunshine Sketches'', he was a featured performer with Wayne and Shuster since the comedy duo's early television broadcasts. He is most famous for his voice acting in various animated television series, especially in the 1960s ''The Marvel Super Heroes'' (1966) and '' Spider-Man'' (1967), both from Marvel Comics as the first voices of J.
