The Summit (TV Series)
The Summit is a 2023 Australian reality television series, the premise being that a group of contestants have to reach the top of a mountain, undertaking various tasks along the way. Each contestant has a backpack with a portion of the grand prize of A$1,000,000. The series first premiered on 14 May 2023 and was produced by Nine Network and Endemol Shine Australia. Format Contestants must work together to create various tasks, within fourteen days. They are initially strangers to each other. Where a contestant stops competing, the prize money reduces; similarly all the money will be lost if the group does not reach the summit in the allotted time. The series is hosted by Australian actor Jai Courtney. Mountain's Keeper The Mountain's Keeper will make appearances throughout the series; they keep track of the trekkers' movements, are fully aware of the procedures necessary to reach the summit, and will be keeping an eye on them at all times. Jacqui Cooper
Jacqueline Cooper (born 6 January 1973) is an Australian motivational speaker and retired freestyle skier. Skiing career Cooper started skiing aerials at age 16 and was on the Australian team for 20 years. During her career she had many injuries, including a shattered knee, elbow, hip, shoulder and a broken back. She finished in sixteenth place at the 1994 Winter Olympics and crashed out of the qualification round at the 1998 Winter Olympics. Alex Silvagni (born 29 September 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle and Carlton Football Clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL).
