"The Storyteller" is the first segment of the twenty-seventh episode, the third episode of the second season (1986–87) of the television series ''The Twilight Zone''. The Twilight Zone (1985 TV Series)
''The Twilight Zone'' is an anthology television series which was constructed from September 27, 1985 to April 15, 1989. It is the first of three revivals of Rod Serling's acclaimed 1959–64 television series, and like the original it featured a variety of speculative fiction, commonly containing characters from a seemingly normal world stumbling into paranormal circumstances. Unlike the original, however, most episodes contained multiple self-contained stories instead of just one. The voice-over narrations were still present, but were not a regular feature as they were in the original series; some episodes had only an opening narration, some had only a closing narration, and some had no narration at all. The multi-segment format liberated the series from the usual time constraints of episodic television, allowing stories ranging in length from 8-minutes to 40-minute mini-movies. The Rockne was an American automobile brand produced by the Studebaker Corporation of South Bend, Indiana, from 1932 to 1933. The brand was named for University of Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne and were produced in Detroit, Michigan. US production Discussions between Studebaker and Knute Rockne began in 1928. Rockne was offered a high-visibility job by Studebaker president Albert Erskine. Studebaker planned for a durable, inexpensive car. Paul Lynch (director)
Paul Lynch (born June 11, 1946) is a Canadian film director and television director. Lynch came to Canada in 1960. He left school to become a cartoonist for the ''Toronto Star'' and then served as a photographer for a number of small-town newspapers. This led to work in film, including a 90-minute documentary on ''Penthouse'' magazine commissioned by its publisher, Bob Guccione. His first feature film was ''The Hard Part Begins''. This was followed by the box-office hit '' Prom Night'', a straightforward slasher film starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Leslie Nielsen. In this segment, a radio disc jockey is confronted by a lover who mysteriously disappeared five years before. Plot Nighttime radio disc jockey Andie Fields is in a depression after a short relationship with a fellow D.J. Ace Campbell. While searching the music library for her playlist she finds Ace has left the record ''Nightsong'' by Simon Locke, a former boyfriend for her to reminisce over. When she plays the album during her shift, Simon shows up. She confronts him angrily about his disappearance. She then turns and he's gone. When leaving the station after work, a motorcycle almost hits her but Simon saves her.
