Paul Helwig
Paul Julius Adolf Helwig (27 May 1893 – 7 August 1963) was a German stage-manager, script-writer, philosopher and psychologist, who has contributed in an original way to the analysis of human behavior. He was born in Lübeck, Germany, and died in Munich. His psychological approach has as a starting-point the chains of reactions and events which normally result from acting, and in which one remains involved because they present one possibilities to seize, problems to solve as well as challenges to take. This is typical for the literary drama, but can be seen in a less concentrated way in daily life. Problematic, if not pathological, behavior may arise if conditions for starting and continuing such a "drama of life" are insufficiently met. Robert Neppach
Robert Neppach (2 March 1890 – 18 August 1939) was an Austrian architect, film producer and art director. Neppach worked from 1919 in the German film industry. He oversaw the art direction of over 80 films during his career, including F.W. Murnau's '' Desire'' (1921) and Richard Oswald's '' Lucrezia Borgia'' (1922). Neppach was comparatively unusual among set designers during the era in having university training.Bergfelder, Harris & Street p.35-36 In 1932, he switched to concentrate on film production. In May 1933, his first wife Nelly, a successful tennis player, took her life because of the discrimination and prosecution of Jews in Nazi Germany. Lotte Neumann (born Charlotte Pötler, 5 August 1896 – 26 February 1977) was a German film actress, screenwriter, and film producer. Biography Lotte Neumann was born Charlotte Pötler on 5 August 1896 in Berlin. She attended the Königliche Luisenschule in her hometown, and then the Wagnersche-Klinkhardsche Höhere Mädchenschule. At 13, she completed vocal training with Karl Grünwald and Emma Sebold, and took acting lessons, as well as studied dance and piano. She was a choir singer at the Komische Oper Berlin and at the Komödienhaus. Neumann originally wanted to be a singer, but at the urging of Max Mack, she instead opted for a career in film, and made her debut in the short ''Whims of Fate'' (1912) alongside Erwin Fichtner and Hanni Weisse, followed by ''Im Übermut'' (1912) and ''Das Bild der Mutter'' (1912).
