Since 1992, the band has consisted of Rick Savage (bass, backing vocals), Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Allen (drums, backing vocals), Phil Collen (guitar, backing vocals), and Vivian Campbell (guitar, backing vocals). Their first album, 1980's ''On Through the Night'', reached the Top 15 in the UK but received little notice elsewhere. Their second album, 1981's ''High 'n' Dry'', was produced by Mutt Lange, who helped them begin to define their melodic hard rock style, and the album's most popular track "Bringin' On the Heartbreak" became one of the first rock videos played on MTV in 1982, but the album only reached the Top 30 and 40 in the UK and US. When released as a single later that year, it reached #9 on the Mainstream Rock chart and #28 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The video shows Elliott escaping from his evil girlfriend in a fantasy sequence, interspersed with scenes of the band performing on a concert stage. Adrenalize
''Adrenalize'' is the fifth studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 31 March 1992 through Mercury Records. It is the first album by the band recorded without guitarist Steve Clark who died in 1991 and the only one recorded as a four-member band. Spawning seven singles, four of them – " Let's Get Rocked", "Make Love Like a Man", " Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad", and " Stand Up (Kick Love into Motion)" – were major hits. "White Lightning" is dedicated to the memory of Clark, who has writing credits on six of the album's 10 tracks. Background Def Leppard had faced long delays, and the challenge of drummer Rick Allen losing his arm while making their previous album, Hysteria, and while trying to follow up the success, they also faced the prospect of doing so with a different producer, as Robert John "Mutt" Lange was already working with Bryan Adams. At the same time guitarist Steve Clark had been suffering from alcohol addiction since 1989, spending ...

"Let's Get Rocked" is a 1992 single by English hard rock band Def Leppard from their multi-platinum album '' Adrenalize''. The song peaked at number one on the ''Billboard'' Album Rock Tracks chart, number 15 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, number two on the UK Singles Chart, and number three on the Canadian ''RPM'' Top Singles chart. Background and release The lyrics are about a teenager disobeying the orders of his parents. According to a Joe Elliott statement on the ''Rock of Ages'' and ''Best Of'' compilation albums, this song was an escapism since the band was working on the " White Lightning" song and felt like doing something to lighten the atmosphere. This song and "White Lightning" were the last two songs recorded for the album. The song has been a live fixture on all of the band's tours since its release. Music video The song was accompanied by a then state-of-the-art computer animated music video directed by Steve Barron. The video consists of the band playing ...

Love Bites (Def Leppard Song)
"Love Bites" is a song by English glam metal band Def Leppard from their album ''Hysteria''. The power ballad is Def Leppard's only number-one single and penultimate top ten hit on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and became a top-10 hit in Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand. On the UK Singles Chart, the track peaked at number 11. Song history and composition When Robert John "Mutt" Lange originally brought the song to the band's attention, it was a country ballad, which the band thought sounded like nothing they had done before. The band then added power rock elements and emotive backing vocals similar to those used in R&B ballads at the time. The title "Love Bites" was originally used for a very different song that was eventually re-titled "I Wanna Be Your Hero", and which appeared as a ''Hysteria'' B-side and later on the album ''Retro Active''. Musically, the song has been described as glam metal, and is considered a classic of the genre. Following the huge momentum generated by ...
