''Storm'' is a 1987 Canadian drama film and first feature starring David Palffy and Stan Kane directed by David Winning. The film was the debut of director Winning. Two college students on a survival weekend in the wilderness cross paths with three aging criminals looking for treasure buried decades earlier. Made in 24 days on a budget of about $70,000 CDN. The original 81-minute film was filmed near Bragg Creek, west of Calgary, in the summer of 1983, with an initial cast and crew of 10 people. It was released by Warner Home Video on September 1, 1988. ''The Storm'' (Dutch: ''De Storm'') is a 2009 Dutch disaster film by Ben Sombogaart. Plot A terrible storm causes hundreds of dikes to break in Zeeland, resulting in the North Sea flood of 1953. Julia, a single mother living with her parents, is caught in the middle of the catastrophic flood. She is rescued from drowning and taken to safety by her neighbour Aldo, who is a member of the armed forces. However, her baby is left in a wooden box in the attic of Julia's parental home. Together Julia and Aldo return to the disaster area to look for the baby. When they finally find the box, it is empty, and they conclude that someone must have taken the child. The child ended up with a woman who recently lost her own baby in a car accident. Julia met her but because the woman did not want to lose the baby, she hid him from Julia. It was produced and distributed by Universal Pictures. Plot As described in a film magazine review, two men and a woman are snowed in together in a cabin in the Northwoods. The Final Storm (film)
''The Final Storm'' is a 2010 apocalyptic thriller film directed by Uwe Boll and written by Canadian screenwriter Tim McGregor. Plot Set in the rural Pacific Northwest, a mysterious character named Silas Hendershot takes refuge from a severe thunderstorm in a farm owned by Tom and Gillian Grady. He claims that he should stay and that they should watch after each other. Tom starts to dislike Silas and becomes suspicious of him and his past. Tom travels to the town police station to look for records regarding Silas after he finds a newspaper clipping about his father and him in the attic. The whole town is deserted, with only flyers announcing a mandatory evacuation due to the storm.
